"Notice under "The Public Works Act, 1882."
Native Land Court Office,
Auckland, 6th September, 1889.
THE Court will, in exercise of the power given under
section 26 of the said "Public Works Act, 1882," pro-
ceed to inquire and ascertain who are the persons interested
in, and entitled to be paid compensation for, all that parcel
of land situate in the Survey Districts of Kawakawa and
Hukerenui, Provincial District of Auckland, being a road-
line, 1 chain wide, running in a southerly direction for a dis-
tance of 318 chains or thereabouts from a point on the
Ruapekapeka Road distant 320 links or thereabouts from
the south-eastern angle of the Kawakawa Coal Company's
ground to the north-western boundary of the Hukerenui
Block, excepting that portion of the aforesaid road which
traverses the Education Reserve, near the Native village of
Waiomio, being the land mentioned in a certain Order in
Council of the 2nd day of April, 1883, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette on the 5th and subsequent days of
April, and on the 3rd and subsequent days of May, 1883, and
made under the authority of the said "Public Works Act,
1882;" and also the amount of compensation which ought
to be paid to the persons found to be interested and entitled
as aforesaid.
The above inquiry will be made during the sitting of this
Court, to be opened at Te Kawakawa, on the 23rd day of
October, 1889.

APPLICATION having been made, under section 2 of
the said Act, by the Natives whose names appear in
the first column of the Schedule hereto, claiming to be
beneficially interested in the land mentioned in the second
column, situate in the district set out in the third column:
Notice is hereby given that, at a sitting to be opened at
Shortland, on the 8th day of October, 1889, the Native
Land Court will proceed to make inquiry into the nature
of the title to the said land, and into the nature of any
trusts affecting such title, and to make such orders thereon
as may appear proper; and at such sitting all persons,
whether Native or European, claiming title to such land,
or to any estate therein, are hereby required to attend.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chief Judge of the
Native Land Court will, with an Assessor, attend at
Kaihu, Kaipara, on Friday, the 8th day of November, 1889,
and make inquiry into the circumstances of the sale of land
specified in the Schedule hereto, and upon such inquiry such
recommendation will be made as may seem fit.

and which are situate in the respective districts named in
the third column.
