Bay Land District, containing about
8,900 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the north by Block XIV., Taho-
raite District, and by an education
reserve; towards the east by Crown land;
towards the south by the Wellington
Land District; and towards the west
by Blocks XIII. and XIV. of the said
district.

All that parcel of land situated in the
Woodville Survey District, Hawke's Bay
Land District, being portion of forest
reserve, containing about 3,000 acres.
Bounded towards the north by Crown
land; on the south and east by Blocks
X., V., XII., Woodville Survey District;
towards the south by Crown land; and
towards the west by other portion of
forest reserve.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ONSLOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day
of September, 1889.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by Pita te Hangi, Riki Tarapipipi, Mata
Ngapa, and Mohi te Hararei, comprising a majority in num-
ber of the Native owners of the land described in the second
column of the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions
on the alienation of such lands contained in the certificate
of title, bearing date the fourteenth day of May, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine, described in the first column
of the said Schedule, may be removed: And whereas it
appears expedient to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable
William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by "The Native Land Act, 1888," and
acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all
restrictions imposed by the said certificate of title on the
alienation of the said lands are hereby removed.

lease for terms not exceeding
twenty-one years, without the
assent of the Governor." | All that parcel of land in
the Hastings Survey District,
containing 73 acres, and
known by the name of Wai-
kawau South No. 2 or No. 5,
Section 6, Block VI. |

MARLBOROUGH.
All those parcels of land in the Marl-
borough Land District, containing by
admeasurement 88 acres 1 rood, more
or less, being Sections Nos. 75 and 76,
Block I., Wakamarina Survey District.
Bounded towards the north by a public
road; towards the east by unsurveyed
Crown land; towards the south partly
by unsurveyed Crown land and partly
by a public road; and towards the west
by a public road: as the same is more
particularly shown on the official plan
deposited in the office of the Chief Sur-
veyor, Blenheim.

of the land described in the second column of the Schedule
hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of
such lands contained in the Crown grant, bearing date the
twelfth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
described in the first column of the said Schedule, may be
removed: And whereas it appears expedient to grant such
application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable
William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by "The Native Land Act, 1888," and
acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all
restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the aliena-
tion of the said lands are hereby removed.

OTAGO.
All that parcel of land in the
Land District of Otago, containing by
admeasurement 1,500 acres, more or
less, being Section No. 9; Block III.,
and Section No. 5, Block IV., Maniototo
Survey District. Bounded on the north
by Crown lands, 18616 links; on the
east by a road-line, 8341 links; on the
south by Section No. 4 of Block IV. of
same district 3650 links, also by Sections
Nos. 10, 11, and 12 of Block III. of
same district, and reserve for tailings,
18058 links; and on the west by Crown
lands, 7541 links; and intersected by a
road-line, 100 links wide: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on the plan deposited
in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Dunedin.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of
Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley,
of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron
Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and
of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baronet;
Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George; Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this second day of Sep-
