Additional Land taken at Petone for the Purposes of the
Wellington-Napier Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington-
Napier Railway, to take further land at Petone, in addition
to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said
railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is
taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Botanic Garden Act, 1876," I, William Hillier, Earl of
Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint

to be a Member of the Board of Trustees for Public
Recreation, in the room of John Murray Gibbes.

Extending Time for Preparation of Burgess Roll, Borough
of Woodville.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day
of July, 1889.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain
things required to be done by "The Municipal
Corporations Act, 1886," in connection with the making and
revision of the burgess lists or rolls of the Borough of Wood-
ville, cannot be done by or within the time required by the
said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby extend the time for the doing of the
said things in connection with the burgess lists or rolls of
the said Borough of Woodville, and doth declare that the
time for the doing of such several things shall be those which
are specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. BURGESS and defaulters' list open for inspection, and
    delivery of objections thereto: Until the 25th June, 1889.
  2. Inspection of list of objections: From the 26th June,
    1889, to the 2nd July, 1889.
  3. Sitting of Council to determine claims and objections:
    2nd July, 1889.
  4. Burgess roll to come into force: On the 15th July, 1889.
