Altitude above sea-level 500 to 1500 feet.

Blackstone District.

Open undulating sections, soil light and gravelly in parts,
about five miles from St. Bathan's Township.

Open undulating sections, soil light, gravelly in parts,
watered, about six miles from Hill's Creek Township.

Similar to Block XIII., about ten miles from Hill's Creek
Township, on main road.

Catlin's District.

Steep bush sections, soil fair, well watered, from six to
eight miles from Owaka Township.

Crookston District.

Rough open sections, watered, situated from sixteen to
twenty-one miles from Lawrence Railway-station. Occupier
of Section 34, Block IV., to be allowed one month to remove
improvements.

Dunback District.

Open broken section, about five miles from Dunback Rail-
way-station.

Gimmerburn District.

Open undulating sections, soil light, situated from fifteen
to eighteen miles from Naseby.

Fighlay District.

Open undulating sections, situated near Macrae's, about
fourteen miles from Dunback Railway-station.

Tarras District.

Terrace formation, soil dry and shingly, situated on main
road Cromwell to Newcastle, about twenty-eight miles from
Cromwell and eight from Newcastle.

Tiger Hill District.

Land of poor quality, about two and a half miles from
Ophir (Black's).

Tuapeka East District.

Open rough land of inferior quality, five miles from
Lawrence Railway-station.

Open undulating sections, soil fair, watered, twelve miles
from Lawrence Railway-station; present occupier to be
allowed one month to remove fencing, &c.

Tuapeka West District.

Open rough land, fairly watered, about eleven miles from
Lawrence Railway-station. Present occupier of Section 2,
Block I., to be allowed one month to remove fencing.

Open rough sections with patches of scrub, watered, about
fifteen miles from Lawrence Railway-station. Present
occupier of Section 22 to be allowed one month to remove
fencing, &c.

Wakefield District.

Dry shingly sections, four to five miles from Cromwell.
Present occupiers to be allowed one month to remove
fencing, &c.

Warepa District.

Partly open, partly bush, well watered, about fifteen miles
from Owaka Township.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the Governor
may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the two hundred and twenty-eighth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily
reserved under the said two hundred and twenty-seventh section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than
six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that
notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
