A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of “The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same; And whereas it is expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the Districts of Avon, Lincoln, and Heathcote:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the said districts, which shall henceforth be those described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Avon Licensing District.—All that area in the County of Selwyn comprising the Avon and Riccarton Road Districts, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 36, of the 30th April, 1883; and the Templeton Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 40, of the 25th June, 1885.

Lincoln Licensing District.—All that area in the County of Selwyn comprising the Springs Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 36, of the 30th April, 1883; and the Lincoln Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 40, of the 25th June, 1885.

Heathcote Licensing District.—All that area in the County of Selwyn comprising the Heathcote Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 36, of the 30th April, 1883; the Spreydon and Halswell Road Districts, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 31, of the 14th May, 1885; and the Town District of Linwood, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 83, of the 5th October, 1882.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, from Kaukapakapa to Te Awamutu, to take further land at Pokeno, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

THE several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

Approximate Area of each of the Parcels of Land required to be taken. Being Portion of Lot Parish of Situated in the Survey District of
A. R. P. 5 3 6 10 Maungatawhiri Marumaru.

All in the Provincial District of Auckland; as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 14972, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
