Description of Land.—These sections are situated near Alfredton, between the Mangaone and the Ihuraua Rivers, and comprise hilly and flat country of fair and good quality, covered generally with mixed bush, and on some of the Ihuraua flats with manuka.

Description of Land.—These sections form part of the Otamakapua Block, situated north of the Birmingham Association Settlement, between the Kiwitea and Oroua Rivers. The bulk of the area is hilly land of good quality, covered generally with rimu, rata, matai, miro, kahikatea, &c., and usual undergrowth, and is as a rule well watered. The Kimbolton Road has been extended to and passes through the block; the Middle and Bluff Roads have been felled and cleared. The distance from Feilding is about 24 miles.

Description of Land.—Hilly country, covered with rata, rimu, &c., papa formation, soil fair to good.

The sections in Blocks II. and VI., Kopuaranga, are situated between Dreyer’s Rock Road and Stuckey’s Run; the present access being by dray-and-horse-road, from the Masterton – Woodville Railway, and main road, near Dorset’s, in the Kopuaranga, to the back boundary of Sections 26 and 39. Much of the area is of first-class quality, being similar in formation to the Rangitumau and Maungaraki country.

Description of Land.—These sections form part of the Otairi Block, about 7 miles and 23 miles north of Hunter ville and Marton respectively, on and adjacent to the Marton – Murimotu Road and the track made by the Public Works Department from Pokiore to the Rangitikei River. The country is generally of a hilly, broken character, with flats and undulating land on some of the sections; the soil on the flats is generally fair or good, but on the hills it varies from poor to fair quality; the forest comprises generally birch on the hills, rata, rimu, kahikatea, &c., on the flats, and the ordinary undergrowth of scrub.

Description of Land.—This land is situated at the back of the existing settlements near Featherston, and extends from the Tauherenikau River southwards. Road-lines have been laid off to give access to these lands, but have not been cleared or formed. The country varies from undulating to mountainous, the soil from poor to good. The forest consists generally of birch, with mixed bush in places.
