Description of Land.—These sections are situated between the Wainuioru River and the coastal settled country, and include the frontage of the Pahaoa River from the Gladstone Flat Point horse-road to the junction of the Pahaoa and Wainuioru Rivers. The areas generally comprise hilly bush and scrub land, rising in places into high rocky peaks and rough ridges and spurs. The bush on some of the sections includes birch. The general character of the soil is fair.
