No. 3391.—GEORGE DALGLEISH, of Oamaru, New Zealand, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for quarrying and dressing rough stone by the use of revolving drills or cutters and bars.
No. 3392.—JOHN GIBBONS, of Thames, Auckland, New Zealand, Engineer, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for an improvement in tubs used for the safe keeping of butter and such like goods, to be known as “The Climax Screw-head Butter-tub.”
No. 3393.—WILLIAM JAMES DALTON, of Auckland, New Zealand, Civil Engineer, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for improvement in the manufacture of boots, shoes, and slippers, to be called “Dalton’s Patent Back-fastening Boot.”
And I have appointed Tuesday, the 26th day of March next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the said applications and all objections thereto; and I require all persons having an interest in opposing the grant of any such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 11th day of March next, at this office, particulars in writing of their objections to any of the said applications, otherwise they will be precluded from urging the same.

No. 3397.—CHARLES ATKIN, of Auckland, New Zealand, Coachbuilder, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for an improvement in under-carriages, to be called “Atkin’s Triple King-bolt Gear,” for all vehicles running with four wheels or more.
No. 3398.—CHARLES ATKIN, of Auckland, New Zealand, Coachbuilder, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for an improved spring for ease and weight-carrying, to be called “Atkin’s Supple Spring.”
No. 3399.—JOHN JOSEPH HOWARD, of Auckland, New Zealand, Artist, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for an improved tap or spigot for barrels, bottles, &c., to be known as “Howard’s Patent Slide-tap and Spigot for Bottles or Barrels.”

Run No. 47: Containing by admeasurement 19,515 acres, more or less, situate in the Ngatapa and Waikohu Survey Districts, Hawke’s Bay Land District. Bounded towards the north-east by the Waikohu Block, the Hikiroroa No. 1 Block, and the Waikohu Block aforesaid; towards the south-east by the Okahuatiu No. 1c Block, the Okahuatiu No. 1 Block, the Wharekopae No. 2 Block, and the Wharekopae No. 1 Block; towards the south-west by Native land; and towards the north-west by the Waikohu-Matawai Block to the point of commencement.
Run No. 49: Containing by admeasurement 23,090 acres, more or less, situate in the Hangaroa, Tuahu and Ngatapa Survey Districts, Hawke’s Bay Land District. Bounded towards the north and east by the Hangaroa River; towards the south by the Tauwharetoi No. 1 Block and Runs Nos. 50 and 51; and towards the west by Run No. 52, Native land, and the Kawaimango Ponui Stream to its junction with the Hangaroa River, the point of commencement.
Run No. 50: Containing by admeasurement 8,025 acres, more or less, situate in the Hangaroa Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District. Bounded towards the north by Run No. 49; towards the east by the Tauwharetoi No. 1 Block; towards the south by the Hangaroa River; and towards the west by the Mangapiopio Stream and Run No. 51 to point of commencement.
Run No. 51: Containing by admeasurement 19,660 acres, more or less, situate in the Hangaroa and Tuahu Survey Districts, Hawke’s Bay Land District. Bounded towards the north by Run No 49; towards the east by Run No. 50, the Mangapiopio Stream, and the Hangaroa River; towards the south by the Tauwharetoi No. 4 Block and the Ruakituri River; and towards the west by the Tuahu Native Reserve and Run No. 52 to point of commencement.
Run No. 52: Containing by admeasurement 9,252 acres, more or less, situate in the Tuahu Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District. Bounded towards the north by the Makokomuka Stream, Native land, the Mangatahae Stream, and again by Native land; towards the east by Runs Nos. 49 and 51; towards the south by the Tuahu Native reserves and the Ruakituri River; and towards the west by the Ruakituri River to point of commencement.
