THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Eketahuna Road Board, is published in accordance with "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

EKETAHUNA ROAD DISTRICT.
Result of poll on the proposal to borrow £3,000, under "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," for the purpose of building a bridge over the Makakahi River; also for forma-tion, metalling, and stumping and clearing on roads in the Parkville Special-settlement Block:—
Total number of ratepayers on the roll, 60; representing 60 votes. Votes recorded in favour of the proposal, 36; number of ratepayers voting for the proposal, 36; votes against, 1; number of ratepayers voting against proposal, 1; votes not recorded, 23.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to more than half the number of votes that can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I do hereby declare the proposal carried.
