Vesting Reserves in the Corporation of Kaitangata.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of August, 1888.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto were reserved for a site for a pound and for a site for Town Board offices respectively: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said lands in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Kaitangata:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserves shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Kaitangata, in trust, for a site for a pound, and for a site for Municipal Corporation offices respectively.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods, more or less, situate in the Township of Kaitangata, and being Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22, respectively, of Block LV. of said town. Bounded towards the north-east by Stoddart Street, 1100 links; towards the south-east by Eddystone Street, 500 links; towards the south-west by Hislop Street, 1100 links; and towards the north-west by Aitcheson Street, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As a site for a pound.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 17 perches, more or less, situate in the Town of Kaitangata, being Section No. 7 of Block XXXI. of said town. Bounded towards the north-east by the Kaitangata Railway, 281 links; towards the east by Sections Nos. 6 and 5 respectively of same block, 287 links; towards the south by Torquay Street, 150 links; and towards the west by a street-line, 525 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for Municipal Corporation offices.

Borough of Queenstown subject to the Provisions of “The Public Bodies’ Powers Act, 1887.”

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of August, 1888.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Queenstown Borough Council, being a leasing authority within the meaning of “The Public Bodies’ Powers Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), has requested that these presents should issue, and it appears expedient to make the order herein contained:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the Queenstown Borough Council shall, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Regulations under the Property Assessment Acts.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of August, 1888.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of all powers vested in him by “The Property Assessment Act, 1885,” and its amendment, and all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling him, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulations for the purpose of the said Act and its amendment, to take effect from the date of the gazetting hereof, that is to say,—

The form of statement of property required by the said Act and its amendment to be made by persons owning, or trustees or agents for, any property in the colony shall be that set forth in the Schedule A hereto, in lieu of that hitherto in use.
