ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of January, 1888.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was reserved for a site for an orphan asylum: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Wellington Benevolent Institution Contributors, incorporated under “The Hospitable and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885:”

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Wellington Benevolent Institution Contributors (Incorporated), in trust, for a site for an orphan asylum.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Borough of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 1041. Bounded on the north by Britomart Street, 500 links; on the east by Stanley Street, 200 links; on the south by Section No. 1042, 500 links; on the west by the Town Belt, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Terms and Conditions of Sale of the Mokau Village Settlement, Auckland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of January, 1888.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and sixty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council may fix the terms and conditions upon which the lands comprised in any village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same: And whereas His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand has, by Proclamation, set apart the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto for sale as a village settlement:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby fix the following terms and conditions upon which the said village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same, that is to say,—

  1. The lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be disposed of as village allotments for cash.

  2. The day upon which the lands shall be open for application shall be Wednesday, the twenty-second day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, at the Land Office, Auckland.

  3. No person shall be allowed to acquire more than one section.

  4. If there should be more than one application for any allotment, the right to purchase the same shall be determined by auction amongst the applicants.

  5. The purchaser of any lands described in the Schedule, upon the full payment of the purchase-money, will be entitled to his Crown grant, to be issued in the usual way upon payment of the fees prescribed by law.
