All in the Provincial District of Otago; as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 15509, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

Land taken for a Portion of the Thames Valley and Rotorua Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a portion of the Thames Valley and Rotorua Railway:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the lands described in the Schedule hereto are public roads.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being a strip of land 1 chain wide, part of the Southern Railway Reserve, situate in the Leeston and Selwyn Survey Districts, extending from the continuation of the south boundary of Harris Street, in the Township of Selwyn, to the continuation of the south-west boundary of Section No. 4089, and bounded towards the north-west by the north-western boundary of the said reserve; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being a strip of land 50 links wide, part of the Southern Railway Reserve, situate in the Selwyn Survey District, and extending from the continuation of the south-west boundary of Section No. 4089 to the Great South Road, and bounded towards the north-west by the north-western boundary of the said reserve; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being a strip of land 50 links wide, part of the Southern Railway Reserve, situate in the Leeston and Selwyn Survey Districts, extending from the continuation of the south boundary of Harris Street, in the Township of Selwyn, to the continuation of the road separating Sections Nos. 25604 and 29688, and bounded towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of the said reserve; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.
