towards the south and west by the waters of the Turanganui River to the commencing-point.

Road containing 2 acres 3 roods 38 perches: Commencing at the Turanganui River-termination of the northern side of the coast-road from Gisborne. Bounded towards the south-west by a line, 180 links; towards the east generally by lines, 80, 538·2, 983·3, 650, and 40 links respectively; and towards the north-west and west by the waters of the Turanganui River to the commencing-point.

Road containing 22 acres and 19 perches: Commencing at the junction of roads at the northern extremity of Subdivision No. 278 of the Kaiti Block (No. 845), being the middle of the road last above referred to; and thence continuing south-westerly generally for a total distance of 22208 links or thereabouts to its junction with the coast-road to Gisborne, at the southern angle of Subdivision No. 117.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are delineated on Maps Nos. 4461, 4462, 4463, and 4464, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.

Date of Governor's warrant, 24th October, 1884.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in a warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that irregular piece of land, of a width of not less than 100 links, situate in Block XV., Waipakura Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, the southern boundary of which commences at a point marked A, about 100 links south from the north-west corner of Section No. 344, and proceeds thence in an easterly direction generally along the Makirikiri Stream over Sections Nos. 344 and 345 to a point marked B, about 160 links south from the north-west corner of Section No. 346: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on plan marked S.O. 605-375, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Date of warrant, 5th November, 1880.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands specified under warrants of the dates given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that regular piece of land, 1 chain wide, the centre of which commences at a point marked A on the Pipipi Stream, in the Kauangaroa No. 2 Block, Block V., Wangaehu Survey District, distant about 1100 links from the confluence of said stream with the Wangaehu River; and proceeds thence in a northern and north-eastern direction over the Kauangaroa No. 2 Block, the Omurihori, Mangatipona West, Okirae, and Te Rimu Blocks, in Blocks V. and I., Wangaehu Survey District, and Blocks XII. and XIII., Mangawhero Survey District, through the points marked b, c, d, e, k, s, and n, to a point marked l, distant about 2760 links from Mount Alec Trig. Station, on a bearing of about 21°.

Also all that regular piece of land, 1 chain wide, the centre of which commences at a point marked b, distant about 1856 links from Long Point Trig. Station, on a bearing of about 57° 38', in the Omurihori Block, Block I., Wangaehu Survey District; and proceeds thence in a north-western and north-eastern direction through the point marked g to a point marked c, in the aforesaid Omurihori Block, distant about 1480 links from Trig. Station E, on a bearing of about 97° 20'.

Also all that regular piece of land, 1 chain wide, the centre of which commences at a point marked g, in the Omurihori Block, Block I., Wangaehu Survey District, distant about 1600 links from Trig. Station H, on a bearing of 22°; and proceeds thence in a westerly direction to a point marked h, on the proper left bank of the Wangaehu River, distant about 400 links from the starting-point, on a bearing of 275° 48'.

Also all that regular piece of land, 1 chain wide, the centre of which commences at a point marked d, distant about 2700 links from Trig. Station E, on a bearing of about 21°, in the Omurihori Block; and proceeds thence over the Omurihori Block and the Mangatipona East Block, Blocks I. and II., Wangaehu Survey District, through the point marked P, to a point marked Q, on the proper right bank of the Turakina River, distant about 2380 links from Trig. Station West Boundary, on a bearing of about 254° 15'.

Also all that regular piece of land, 1 chain wide, the centre of which commences at a point marked N, in the Okirae Block, Block XII., Mangawhero Survey District, distant 4543 links north and 1010 links west from Trig. Station L; and proceeds thence to a point marked M in the Mangawhero East Block, on a bearing of 3° 20', and distant 2547 links from the starting-point.

Also all that irregular piece of land, of not less than 1 chain wide, situate in the Okirae Block, Block XII., Mangawhero Survey District, the eastern boundary of which commences at a point marked S, distant about 1820 links from Okirae Trig. Station, on a bearing of about 46° 30'; and proceeds thence in a northerly direction to the Wangaehu River, on a bearing of 350° 12', for a distance of 866 links; and from thence the road proceeds in a westerly direction along the proper left bank of said river for a distance of about 700 links to a point marked F.

Also all that irregular piece of land, marked Z, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, situate in the Mangatipona West Block, Block I., Wangaehu Survey District, being a road reserve, marked Z, the boundary of which begins at a point marked V, distant about 2050 links from Beard Trig. Station, on a bearing of about 53° 45'; and is bounded towards the north by part of the Mangatipona West Block, 753 links; towards the east and south by a public road, about 400 and 360 links respectively; and towards the south-west by other portion of the Mangatipona West Block, 605 links.

As the same pieces of land are more particularly delineated on the plans marked S.O. 2817/28, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Dates of warrants, 16th April, 1885, and 25th April, 1885.
