to another point on the dividing-line aforesaid.

Road containing 4 acres and 2 perches: Commencing at a
point on the dividing-line aforesaid at a distance of 2300
links or thereabouts from the north-western boundary of the
Mangaheia No. 1 Block aforesaid; and thence continuing
north-easterly generally for a distance of 4018 links or there-
abouts to its junction with another road at a distance of
5 chains or thereabouts to the northward of the subdividing-
line before-mentioned.

As the same are delineated on Map No. 4498, deposited in
the Survey Office, Auckland.

Date of Governor’s warrant, 27th April, 1882.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 27·6 perches, more or
less, situate in the Uawa Survey District, and being a
portion of a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Paremaia
No. 2 Block; commencing at a point on the southern side
of a road, containing 2 acres and 27 perches, more or less,
which traverses the Paremaia No. 2 Block at a distance of
28·4 links from the western boundary of that block. Bounded
towards the north-east by a line, 118·8 links; towards the
east by a line, 291 links; and towards the west by lines, 317·1
links and 54·7 links respectively, to the commencing-point:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is
delineated on Map No. 4499, deposited in the Survey Office,
Auckland.

Date of Governor’s warrant, 27th April, 1882.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified under warrants of the dates given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 17 acres 2 roods, more
or less, situate in the Waikohu Survey District, and being a
road-line, 100 links wide and upwards, traversing the Puha-
tikotiko No. 7 Block; commencing at a point on the Pohua-
ahini Stream, being the western termination of a road-line,
containing 14 acres 1 rood 26 perches, more or less, which
traverses the Puhatikotiko No. 2 Block, and the middle of the
road above referred to; and thence continuing westerly and
south-westerly generally for a total distance of 12775 links or
thereabouts to its junction with another road at the Waikohu
River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on Map No. 4687A, deposited in the Survey
Office, Auckland.

Date of Governor’s warrant, 5th October, 1887.

All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 1 rood
26 perches and 1 acre and 24 perches respectively, more or
less, situate in the Waikohu Survey District, and being
road-lines, 100 links wide and upwards, traversing the Puha-
tikotiko No. 2 Block:—

Road containing 14 acres 1 rood 26 perches: Commencing
at a point on the north-eastern boundary of the Puhatikotiko
No. 2 Block at a distance of 732 links or thereabouts from
the Waikohu River, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing south-westerly, westerly,
and north-westerly for a total distance of 11700 links or
thereabouts to the Pohuahahini Stream.

Road containing 1 acre and 24 perches: Commencing at a
point on the southern side of the road hereinbefore defined
at a distance of 84 chains or thereabouts from its starting-
point, being the middle of the road last above referred to;
and thence continuing westerly to and along the Waikohu
River for a total distance of 14 chains or thereabouts.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are
delineated on Map No. 4687, deposited in the Survey Office,
Auckland.

Date of Governor’s warrant, 5th October, 1887.

All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods
23 perches and 1 acre 1 rood 20 perches respectively, more or
less, situated in the Waikohu Survey District, and being
road-lines, each 100 links wide, traversing the northern portion
of the Puhatikotiko No. 1 Block (No. 3525):—

Road containing 3 acres 3 roods 23 perches: Commencing
at a point on the north-eastern boundary of the Puhatikotiko
No. 2 Block at a distance of 732 links or thereabouts from
the Waikohu River, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing northerly and easterly for
a total distance of 3750 links or thereabouts to its junction
with the main road.

Road containing 1 acre 1 rood 20 perches: Commencing
at a point on the north-eastern boundary of the Puhatikotiko
No. 2 Block at a distance of 732 links or thereabouts from
the Waikohu River, being also the middle of the road last
above referred to; and thence continuing north-westerly for
a distance of 1377 links or thereabouts to a point on the
western boundary of the Puhatikotiko No. 1 Block at a
distance of 814·6 links or thereabouts from the southernmost
angle of the Puhatikotiko No. 3 Block.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are
delineated on Map No. 4687, deposited in the Survey Office,
Auckland.

north-western boundary of the Papawhariki Block at a dis-
tance of 173 links or thereabouts from its westernmost corner.
Bounded towards the north-east generally by lines, 3004, 1208,
911·5, 160, 1469, 726, 1887, 930, 2326, 597·5, 2147, 135, 158,
379·5, and 297 links respectively; towards the north-west by
a line, 160 links; towards the south-west by high-water mark
of Poverty Bay; and towards the south-east by a line, 173
links, to the commencing-point.

Road containing 1 acre 3 roods 5 perches: Commencing at
the river-termination of the north-eastern boundary of
the blockyard hereinbefore referred to. Bounded towards
the west generally by the Turanganui River; towards the
east and south-east by lines, 595, 383, and 350 links; and
towards the south-west by a line, 100 links, to the com-
mencing-point.

Road containing 1 rood 37 perches: Commencing at the
river termination of the southern side of the coast-road from
Gisborne. Bounded towards the north-east by a line, 140
links; towards the east by lines, 37 and 301 links; and
