Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in a warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land, 50 links wide, containing by ad-
measurement 3 roods and 37 perches, [more or less, the
northern boundary of which commences at a point marked
A on the northern boundary-line of the Muhunoa No. 1
Block, Block IV., Waitohu Survey District, distant 44396
links North and 37489 links East from Trig. Station A,
Waitohu, and proceeds thence in a south-easterly direction
along said boundary-line to a point marked B, 1993 links;
thence in a south-westerly direction along the abutment of
a road, 59 links; thence in a north-westerly direction, 1939
links; and thence in a northerly direction along the abut-
ment of a road, 54 links, to the starting-point: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same piece of land is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 8040/13,
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Date of warrant, 4th November, 1887.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this seventh day of May, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule
hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the land
specified under warrant of the date given in the said Sche-
dule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 7 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, being portion
of Blocks LXXXI. and LXXXII. (Block XII., Takapau
Survey District), Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, com-
mencing at peg xi., on the eastern boundary of Block
LXXXI. Bounded generally on the north by part of Blocks
LXXXI. and LXXXII., 914·7, 403·8, 783·7, 513·6, 1960·5, 736,
1298·7, and 908·8 links; towards the west by part of Block
LXXXIII., 104·8 links; towards the south by other portion
of Blocks LXXXII. and LXXXI., 929·7, 1315·6, 795·7, 1955·4,
480·3, 750, 373·3, and 916 links; and towards the east by
Block VII., 100·2 links, to starting-point.

Date of warrant, 5th August, 1887.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land
Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Procla-
mations of the twenty-ninth day of July, the seventeenth
day of August, the eighteenth day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-six, and the thirty-first day
of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
seven, so far as they relate to the sections enumerated in
the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same are hereby
revoked; and do proclaim and declare that the said sec-
tions are hereby withdrawn from the village-homestead
special-settlement system.

Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Procla-
tion of the fifteenth day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-six, so far as it relates to the sections
enumerated in the said Schedule, shall be and the same is
hereby revoked; and do proclaim and declare that the said
sections are hereby withdrawn from the village-homestead
special-settlement system.
