Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified under warrants of the dates given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 38
perches, more or less, situate in the Turanganui Survey
District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing a
portion of the Matawhero No. 1 Block; commencing at a
point on the northern boundary of the Kaipara Block at a
distance of 1340 links or thereabouts from its north-eastern
angle, being the termination of a road-line traversing that
block (and containing 1 acre 9·2 perches, more or less), being
the middle of the road above referred to; and thence con-
tinuing north-westerly for a distance of 6740·3 links or there-
abouts to its junction with another road: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
Map No. 4654, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Date of Governor’s warrant, 12th June, 1879.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 16 acres 1 rood, more or
less, situate in the Maungaru Survey District, and being a
road-line, 100 links wide and upwards, traversing a portion
of the Kaihu No. 2 Block (No. 3509); commencing at a point
on the western bank of the Awakino Stream at a distance of
150 links or thereabouts from the confluence of that stream
with the Wairoa River, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing south-westerly generally
for a distance of 12350 links or thereabouts to a point on the
Whapu Stream opposite the middle of a road-line running
through the Township of Dargaville: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map No.
4443, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Date of Governor’s warrant, 12th May, 1884.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most
Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Govern-
ment House, at Wellington, this seventh day of
May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-eight.

ALL those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 18 perches and
2 roods 22 perches respectively, more or less, situated in the
Tokomaru Survey District, and being portions of a road-line,
100 links wide, traversing the south-eastern portion of the
Mangahawini Block:—
Road containing 1 acre and 18 perches: Commencing at a
point on the western side of a road in Tokomaru Bay, at a
distance of 400 links to the northward of the Waiotu Stream,
being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence
continuing westerly generally, for a distance of 1115 links
or thereabouts, to the Waiotu Stream aforesaid.
Road containing 2 roods 22 perches: Commencing at a
point on the Waiotu Stream at the western termination of
a road running through a portion of the Tokomaru Block,
in continuance of the road hereinbefore described, being the
middle of the road last above referred to; and thence con-
tinuing south-westerly generally, for a distance of 615 links
or thereabouts, across a point to the Waiotu River aforesaid.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are
delineated on Map No. 4565A, deposited in the Survey Office
at Auckland.
Dates of Governor’s warrants, 30th April and 4th August,
1887.

Roads taken under the Native Land Act:—
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement 40 acres 2 roods
and 2 acres 2 roods respectively, more or less, situate in
the Tokomaru Survey District, and being road-lines, 100 links
wide and upwards, traversing portions of the Tokomaru
Block (No. 4322).
Road containing 40 acres 2 roods: Commencing at a point
on the eastern side of a road containing 64 acres, which also
traverses the Tokomaru Block aforesaid, at a distance of
204 chains or thereabouts from the south-eastern boundary
of the aforesaid block, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing north-easterly generally,
for a distance of 40500 links or thereabouts, to a point on
the Waiotu River opposite the termination of a road-line,
containing 2 roods 22 perches, which traverses a portion of
the Mangahawini Block.
Road containing 2 acres 2 roods: Commencing at a point
on the Waiotu River opposite the termination of a road-line,
containing 1 acre and 18 perches, which traverses a portion
of the Mangahawini Block, being the middle of the road
last above referred to; and thence continuing westerly gene-
rally, for a distance of 2500 links or thereabouts, to the
Waiotu River aforesaid, opposite the termination of another
road-line which traverses the Mangahawini Block, and
containing 2 roods 22 perches:
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same
are delineated on Map No. 4565A, deposited in the Survey
Office at Auckland.
Dates of Governor’s warrants, 30th April and 4th August,
1887.

middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing
north-easterly for a distance of 2175 links or thereabouts to
a point on the northern boundary of the Taramorahi No. 3
Block at a distance of 2804 links or thereabouts from its
