A PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the second section of "The
Timber-floating Act, 1884," I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify that the following river and streams within
the colony may be used under license for the purposes of the
said Act:—

Hua Creek and its branches, situate in the Manukau
County.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of
the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this seventh day of May, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
eight.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified under warrants of the dates given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less,
situate in the Uawa Survey District, and being a road-line,
100 links wide and upwards, traversing the Mangarara No. 2A
Block; commencing at a point on the northern boundary of
the Mangarara Block at a distance of 50 links or thereabouts
from its north-eastern angle, being the middle of the road
above referred to; and thence continuing southerly and
easterly generally for a total distance of 3000 links to the
eastern boundary of the aforesaid block at the termination
of a street in the Township of Tolago: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map
No. 4549K, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 27th September, 1884, and
27th April, 1886.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods, situate
in the Uawa Survey District, and being a road-line, 100
links wide, traversing a portion of the Uawa Block No. 2;
commencing at the middle of the road at the south-western
angle of the Uawa No. 1 Block, being the middle of the road
above referred to; and thence continuing south-westerly and
southerly for a distance of 3750 links or thereabouts to a stream
at a point opposite to the termination of a road-line which
traverses the Mangarara Block No. 2A: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map
No. 4549K, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 27th September, 1884, and
27th April, 1886.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods, more or
less, situate in the Uawa Survey District, and being a road-
line, 100 links wide, traversing the western portion of the
Uawa No. 1 Block; commencing at a point on the southern
boundary of the Kourateuwhi No. 1 Block at a distance of
1149·6 links or thereabouts from the Mangapoka Stream,
being the middle of the road above referred to and the ter-
mination of a road-line traversing the last-named block;
thence continuing southerly generally to the Uawa River;
and thence along that river for a total distance of 5500 links
or thereabouts to the north-eastern boundary of the Uawa
No. 2 Block: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as
the same is delineated on Map No. 4549K, deposited in the
Survey Office, Auckland.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 27th September, 1884, and
27th April, 1887.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood, more or
less, situate in the Tokomaru Survey District, and being a
road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the south-eastern por-
tion of the Ruangarehu No. 1 Block (No. 5517A); commenc-
ing at a point on the southern boundary of the Ruangarehu
No. 1 Block aforesaid at a distance of 592·8 links or there-
abouts from the Powarika Stream, being the middle of
the road above referred to; and thence continuing north-
easterly generally for a distance of 2250 links or there-
abouts to the Powarika Stream aforesaid: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
Map No. 4549A, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 27th September, 1884, and
30th April, 1887.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less,
situate in the Tokomaru Survey District, and being a road-
line, 100 links wide, traversing the southern portion of the
Rakautautini Block (No. 4263); commencing at a point on
the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid block at a dis-
tance of 200·7 links or thereabouts from its southernmost
angle, being the termination of a road-line which traverses
a portion of the Mangahawini Block and the middle of the
road above referred to; and thence continuing westerly
generally for a distance of 10 chains or thereabouts to its
junction with a road-line—on the southern boundary of the
Rakautautini Block — which traverses the Mangahawini
Block: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on Map No. 4549A, deposited in the
Survey Office, Auckland.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 27th September, 1884, and
30th April, 1887.

All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 2 roods
19 perches and 1 acre 3 roods 21 perches respectively, more
or less, situate in the Tokomaru Survey District, and being
road-lines, 100 links wide, traversing portions of the Manga-
hawini Block:—

Road containing 13 acres 2 roods 19 perches: Commenc-
ing at a point on the southern boundary of the Rakautau-
tini Block (No. 4263) at a distance of 806·2 links from its
southernmost angle, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing southerly generally for
a distance of 13620 links or thereabouts to a point on the
eastern bank of the Powarika River opposite to the middle
of a road on the opposite bank (containing 2 acres 1 rood,
more or less) which traverses the Ruangarehu No. 1 Block
(No. 5517A).

Road containing 1 acre 3 roods 21 perches: Commencing
at a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Rakautau-
tini Block (No. 4263) at a distance of 200·7 links or there-
abouts from its southernmost angle, being the middle of
the road last above referred to; and thence continuing
north-easterly generally for a distance of 1880 links or
thereabouts to the south-western boundary of the Poroika-
moana Block.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same
are delineated on Map No. 4549A, deposited in the Survey
Office, Auckland.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 27th September, 1884, and
30th April, 1887.

All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement 64 acres and 27
acres 1 rood 31 perches respectively, more or less, situate in
the Tokomaru Survey District, and being road-lines, each
100 links wide, traversing the Tokomaru Block (No. 4322):—

Road containing 64 acres: Commencing at a point on the
north-eastern boundary of the Tokomaru Block at a distance
of 700 links or thereabouts to the north-west of the Hikuwai
River, being the middle of the road above referred to; and
thence continuing southerly generally for a distance of
64000 links or thereabouts to the north-western boundary of
the Taumata-Patiti Block at its junction with the road
which traverses the western portion of that block.
