January.—Generally bright weather and little rainfall, the maximum on 26th, ·400in.; prevailing N.W. winds, and stormy from that quarter on 15 days; lightning on night of 25th; slight hail on 31st. Maximum temperature in shade, 73·3; minimum, 46·5. Mean temperature of dewpoint, 51·9. Mean humidity, 72. Meteor observed on night of 25th, travelling to eastward.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same in each case on or before the 16th day of May next.
