Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the Grey Licensing District, which shall, from and after the twenty-fourth day of February instant, be those described in the First Schedule hereto; and do hereby proclaim and define the part of the colony mentioned and described in the Second Schedule hereto to be, from and after the said twenty-fourth day of February instant, an ordinary licensing district for the purposes of the said Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

GREY COUNTY.

Grey Licensing District.—All that area in the County of Grey bounded towards the north-east by a line along the middle of Razorback Creek to its source; thence towards the west by the summit of the Paparoa Range to Mount Faraday; thence again towards the north-east by a right line to the source of the Otututu or Rough River, and by a line along the middle of that river to the Grey River; thence towards the south-east by a line along the middle of the Grey River to a point opposite the watershed between Nelson Creek and Red Jack’s Creek; thence again towards the north-east by a right line to, and by that watershed to, Ahaura Lake; thence by that lake and Kopara and Haupiri Rivers to the confluence of the Haupiri with the Ahaura River; thence by the watershed between the Haupiri and Ahaura Rivers to the source of the Teremakau River at Hurunui Pass; thence towards the south by a line along the middle of the Teremakau River; and towards the west by the sea: excepting therefrom the Brunner Licensing District, hereinafter described.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

GREY COUNTY.

Brunner Licensing District.—All that area comprising the Borough of Brunner, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 71, 3rd November, 1887.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.
