All that irregularly-shaped piece of road situate in the Mangatainoka No. 2B Block (Blocks VII. and VIII., Mangahao Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington), the middle line of which commences at a point marked M, about 60 links from the north-eastern corner of the block, and proceeds generally in a south-westerly direction along the bank of the Mangatainoka River by the point marked A to a point marked L, distant about 81½ chains from the south-west corner of the block.

All that irregularly-shaped piece of road situate in the Mangatainoka No. 2B Block (Block VII., Mangahao Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington), the middle line of which commences at a point marked F on the north-western boundary of the block, measuring about 6½ chains from the north-west corner of the block, and proceeds generally in a north-easterly direction to a point marked E on the north-eastern boundary-line of the block, measuring about 12½ chains from the north-west corner of the block.

All that irregularly-shaped piece of road situate in the Mangatainoka No. 2B Block (Block VII., Mangahao Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington), the middle line of which commences near a point marked N mentioned in a foregoing description, and proceeds generally in a northerly direction to a point marked C, also mentioned in a foregoing description.

All that road, 100 links wide, situate in the Mangatainoka No. 2B Block (Block VII., Mangahao Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington), the middle line of which commences at a point marked G on the south-western boundary of the block, measuring about 46½ chains from its south-west corner, and proceeds generally in a north-westerly direction to a point marked B, mentioned in a foregoing description.

All that irregularly-shaped piece of road situate in the Mangatainoka No. 2B Block (Block VII., Mangahao Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington), the middle line of which commences at a point marked J, near to where the north-western boundary of the block strikes the Mangahao River, and proceeds generally in a southerly direction along the bank of said river to its intersection with the south-western boundary of the block at a point marked K.

As the same roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 2140/10, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Date of warrant, 20th August, 1885.

All that irregularly-shaped piece of road situate in the Mangatainoka No. 4 Block (Block IV., Mangahao Survey District, and Block I., Makuri Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington), the middle line of which commences at a point marked A near the south-western corner of the block, and proceeds generally in a north-easterly direction along the bank of the Mangatainoka River to its intersection with the eastern boundary-line of the block at a point marked B.

All that road, 100 links wide, situate in the Mangatainoka No. 4 Block (Block I., Makuri Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington), the middle line of which commences at a point marked C on the southern boundary of the block, measuring about 44 chains from its south-eastern corner, and proceeds generally in a north-easterly direction to a point marked D on the eastern boundary of the block, distant about 40½ chains from its south-eastern corner.

As the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 2140/11, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Dunedin, this thirty-first day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for application as a village homestead special settlement for perpetual leasing, upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

AKATEA VILLAGE SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, situate in Block VI., Newcastle Survey District, Parish of Waipa, and containing by admeasurement 1,200 acres, more or less; commencing on the south-eastern boundary of Lot No. 166, Parish of Pepepe, at a distance of 15800 links from its south-eastern angle. Bounded towards the East by a right line drawn due south to Lot No. 76, Parish of Waipa aforesaid; thence towards the South-east by Lots Nos. 76 and 75 of said parish to the north-western angle of Lot No. 75; thence towards the West by a right line drawn due north for a distance of 4300 links; thence towards the South by a right line drawn due west for a distance of 7800 links to the western boundary of Block VI. aforesaid; thence again towards the West by a right line drawn due north to Lot No. 166 aforesaid; and thence towards the North-west by that lot to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.

Thorne; again towards the South-east by the Pokapu Block; towards the South-west by the road-line forming the north-eastern boundaries of Lots Nos. 169, 168, and 167, Parish of Ohiwa; and towards the West by Lot No. 181 of said parish, and by a forest reserve to Block VII: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
