Special Order made by Mount Eden Road Board, County of Eden.

THE following special order, made by the Mount Eden Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER striking Special Rate for Water-supply for Special District, made 3rd November, 1887.

RESOLVED, That a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound on the the assessed rateable value of the property in the special water-supply district be now struck; said rate to be an annually-recurring rate, to be levied annually for the period of twenty-six years, from the 1st day of January, 1888, or until the loan is paid off, and shall be payable at the office of the Board, in one sum, on the 1st day of January in each year, commencing on the 1st day of January, 1888, or at such other place as may legally be appointed by the Board.

I hereby certify that the above-recited special order, striking special rate, was made by the Mount Eden Road Board, on the 3rd November, 1887, and that all the requirements of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” relating to special orders were duly complied with.

Special Order made by Waimea County Council.—Levying a Special Rate.

THE following special order, made by the Waimea County Council, is published for general information.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT, for the purpose of securing payment of the sum of £1,300, proposed to be borrowed by this Council under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” to defray balance of cost of new wharf at Motueka, a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound be levied on the rateable value of all property within the Motueka Road District; such special rate to be an annual-recurring rate, payable in two half-yearly instalments for twenty-six years.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made, advertised, and confirmed according to law.

THE following special orders, made by the Cook County Council, are published in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SPECIAL ORDERS.

RESOLVED, That this Council accede to the prayer of a majority in number and value of the ratepayers of the Turanganui Road District, praying this Council to abolish the Turanganui Road District, and the Council doth hereby declare that the Turanganui Road District is abolished.

Resolved, That the Waimata Riding be divided into two ridings, to be called (1) the Waimata Riding, and to comprise the Waimata Road District, as defined in Gazette No. 61, 29th September, 1887; (2) the Whataupoko Riding, and to comprise the Whataupoko and Kaiti Road Districts, as defined in Gazette No. 61, 29th September, 1887.

That the Waimata Riding, as now constituted, be represented in the Council by one member.

That the Whataupoko Riding, as now constituted, be represented by one member.

That, in order to reduce the number of members to nine, the Gisborne Riding be now represented by one member.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special orders have been made in accordance with law, and that all the requirements of “The Counties Act, 1886,” have been fully complied with
