Creek; thence along the right bank of that creek to its source; thence along a straight line to the source of the Wairau River, and along the left bank of that river to a reserve of 13,000 acres in the Wairau Survey District; thence along the western, north-western, north-eastern, and eastern boundary-lines of that reserve to Run No. 3, Square 70, Wairau Survey District aforesaid; thence easterly along the northern boundary-line of Run No. 4 to the boundary between the Provincial Districts of Nelson and Marlborough; thence southerly, westerly, and easterly along the Provincial District boundary to Run No. 1, Terako Survey District; thence southerly along the western boundary-line of that run, along the northern and western boundary-lines of Run No. 84 to Run No. 59, Square 81; thence along the north-western and south-western boundary-lines of Runs Nos. 59 and 97, Square 81, Percival Survey District, to the Hanmer River; and thence westerly along that river and the Waiau River aforesaid to the place of commencement.
OMAKA SHEEP DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Marlborough bounded generally towards the North and West by the Omaka River from the Renwick New Road to the dividing fence between the Hawkesbury Run and land in the occupation of John Newman; thence generally towards the South and West by that dividing fence to the southern boundary of Section No. 7, Block I., Avon Survey District; thence by that boundary, the dividing fence between the Brokby and Tyntesfield Runs, the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 110, Avon Survey District, 109, 39 of Square 42, 107 and 106, Taylor Pass Survey District, and a tributary of the Fairhall River to the Fairhall River; thence generally towards the East and North by that river to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 108, Taylor Pass Survey District; thence by a public road across the Fairhall River to its junction with another public road intersecting Sections Nos. 15 and 16, Block I., Taylor Pass Survey District; thence by that road to a point in Section No. 102, Taylor Pass Survey District, 1375 links from its southern boundary; thence by a line parallel to the southern boundary of said Section No. 102 to the Fairhall River aforesaid, and by that river to the dividing fence between the Hawkesbury Run and land in the occupation of Edward Fairhall; thence by that dividing fence to the Renwick New Road aforesaid, and by that road to the Omaka River aforesaid.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Wellington-Napier Railway, namely, Tamaki and Woodville Sections:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section thirty of “The Mining Act, 1886” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby proclaim and declare that all the provisions of the said Act relating to mining districts and to Wardens’ Courts shall have operation within the land described in the Schedule hereto,
