Setting apart Land in the Westland Land District for Perpetual Leasing under “The Land Act, 1885.”

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the one hundred and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the parcel of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease, with right of renewal, under the provisions of Part IV. of “The Land Act, 1885.”
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing 300 acres, more or less, situated in Block I., Waiho Survey District. Bounded towards the North by the road reserved along the south side of the Omoeroa River; towards the East by Run No. 16; towards the South by a line generally parallel with and 40 chains distant from said road reserve; and towards the West by road reserved along lagoon.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Dunedin, this nineteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of January, 1887.

THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER FOR PUBLIC WORKS PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by section forty-six of “The Harbours Act, 1878,” that, if a local governing body or association electing or appointing a member or members of a Harbour Board becomes divided into two or more like bodies, the Governor in Council may order that the original bodies or associations and the new bodies or associations shall unite in electing or appointing a member or members of the Board, as the case may be:
And whereas the Council of the County of Waipawa is required by the Second Schedule to “The Harbours Act, 1878,” to elect two persons to be members of the Napier Harbour Board:
And whereas by Proclamation by His Excellency the Governor, dated the eighth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the tenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, a portion of the County of Waipawa was constituted a new county under the name of the County of Patangata:
And whereas it is desirable that the respective Councils of the Counties of Waipawa and Patangata shall unite to elect two members of the Napier Harbour Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section forty-six of “The Harbours Act, 1878,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the
