A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and sixty-first section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the section of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease as a small area, with perpetual right of renewal.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The Land Act, 1885," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the sections of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for application as a village homestead special settlement for perpetual leasing, upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.

SECTIONS Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, Block II., Hererino Survey District; Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16, Block III., Hererino Survey District; Sections Nos. 5, 6, 7, 8, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 34, 35, 36, Block VII., Whangape Survey District; containing about 2,100 acres.

Crown Lands set apart for Mining Purposes exclusively.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the twenty-second section of "The Mining Act, 1886," it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Proclamation, constitute and appoint any portion of the colony to be a mining district under the said Act, assign boundaries to such district, enlarge, contract, or otherwise alter such boundaries, and declare by what local name every such district shall be designated: And whereas in exercise of the hereinbefore recited power certain mining districts were, on the twenty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, duly constituted by Proclamation bearing that date, and among others the Karamea Mining District (West Coast) and the Westland Mining District (West Coast), as in such Proclamation mentioned: And whereas by the twenty-fifth section of the said Act it is enacted, among other things, that the Governor, by Proclamation, either by general or particular description, may set apart for mining purposes exclusively any portion of Crown lands within a mining district: And whereas it is expedient that certain Crown lands in the Karamea Mining District (West Coast) and the Westland Mining District (West Coast) should be set apart under the lastly hereinbefore in part recited section for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the twenty-fifth section of "The Mining Act, 1886," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the several areas of Crown lands situated respectively within the said Karamea Mining District (West Coast) and the said Westland Mining District (West Coast), and which are generally described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same are hereby set apart for mining purposes exclusively.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that land in the Provincial District of Nelson, as follows: (1.) A strip of land, about 4 miles in width, extending in a south-westerly direction from a point 3 miles due south of the confluence of Coal Creek with the Mokihinui River to the Buller River, and extending north-westerly 2Β½ miles on either side of the Waimangaroa River to the Westport-Ngakawhau Railway. (2.) Also a strip of land, 7 miles in width, extending about 9 miles in a northerly direction from the confluence of Maori Creek with the Mokihinui River, and southward about 3 miles on either side of the southern branch of the Mokihinui River to its source, and onward to the Buller River. (3.) Also a strip of land, from 1 to 2Β½ miles in width, on either side of the Buller River, from the confluence of Cascade Creek to the confluence of the Owen River, and 4 miles on either side of that river to its source; also extending about 5 miles up the Mangles River from the Buller River, 2 miles wide.
