LINCOLN.
This district is bounded toward the North-east by the Cheviot Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the South-east and again towards the North-east by the Ashley Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the East by the Electoral Districts of Avon and Akaroa, hereinbefore described; towards the South-east by the River Selwyn and the River Hawkins to the source of the latter, near Trig. Station H, Kowai Survey District; thence by a right line to the southern extremity of Lake Lyndon; thence by the summit of the watershed over Coleridge Pass, Mount Enys, Mount Olympus, and Hamilton Peak to a point due east of Mount Chamberlain; towards the South by a right line to the said Mount Chamberlain; and towards the North-west by the summit of the Southern Alps, over Mount Rolleston and Mount Franklyn.
SELWYN.
This district is bounded towards the North-east by the Electoral Districts of Lincoln and Akaroa, hereinbefore described; towards the South-east by Lake Ellesmere and the ocean; towards the South-west by the Rakaia River to the summit of the Southern Alps; and towards the North-west by the summit of the said Southern Alps.
ASHBURTON.
This district is bounded towards the North-east by the Selwyn Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the South-east by the south boundary-line of the Rakaia Ferry Reserve and by Rural Sections Nos. 7131 and 7132 to the Great South Road, by that road to the Main Trunk Railway, and by that railway to the Borough of Ashburton; towards the North-east, South-east, South-west, and North-west by lines so as to include the said Borough of Ashburton, the Town District of Hampstead, and the Town District of Tinwald; again towards the South-west by the River Ashburton and its south branch to its source; thence by a line to and along the summit of the watershed over Mount Arrowsmith, Mount Gould, and Mount Goethe to the summit of the Southern Alps; and again towards the North-west by the summit of the said Southern Alps.
RANGITATA.
This district is bounded towards the North-east and North-west by the Ashburton Electoral District, hereinbefore described; again towards the North-east by the Selwyn Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the South-east by the ocean; towards the South-west generally by the Opihi River, the Tumuku River, and the Taumatakahu Creek to the Town District of Arowhenua, by that town district to the Southern Trunk Railway, by that railway to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 5961; thence by that road and its continuation past Sections Nos. 11526 and 9031 to the Geraldine Road; thence by that road to Boundary Road, by that road to the Hae Hae Te Moana River, by that river and its east branch to its source; thence by the summit of the watershed over Trig. Stations A, B, and J, Four Peaks Survey District, and Trigs. K and L, Opuha Survey District, to and over Fox Peak to the Two-thumb Range, and by the said Two-thumb Range to the summit of the Southern Alps, near Mount Tyndall; and towards the North by the summit of the said Southern Alps.
TIMARU.
This district is bounded towards the North-east by the ocean to a point due east of the mouth of the Otipua Creek; towards the South by a right line to the mouth of that creek; towards the South-west by the Otipua Creek to the road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section No. 1690; towards the North-west by that road and its continuation to the road forming the south-western boundary of Rural Section No. 2015; again towards the South-west by the last-mentioned road and its continuation to Wai-iti Road; towards the South by the said Wai-iti Road to the road forming the western boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 4966 and 3989 to the Upper Washdyke Road; again towards the South by the last-mentioned road; again towards the West by a road forming the western boundary of Rural Section No. 3301 and its production to the Washdyke Flat Road; towards the North by the said Washdyke Flat Road to the Main South Road; again towards the North-east by the last-mentioned road to Washdyke Creek, and by that creek and the Waitarakao Lagoon.
GLADSTONE.
This district is bounded towards the North-east generally by the Rangitata Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the South-east by the ocean; towards the South generally by the Timaru Electoral District, hereinbefore described, the Washdyke Flat Road, and the road forming the northern boundary of Rural Sections Nos. 10468, 10465, 18253, 17826, 27662, 14825, 17196, 14115, 14116, 14142, 18258, 15761, 15758, 22421, 31998, 26488, 20897, 18871, and 33830 to the Tygho Flat Road, by that road to the road forming the northern boundary of Rural Section No. 18872; thence by that road and its continuation past the said Section No. 18872 and Rural Sections Nos. 18873, 21787, 25588, 20970, and Rural Section No. 28823, through Rural Section No. 3277, and past Rural Sections Nos. 28823 aforesaid, 20634, 28826, 20635, 28824, and 20636 to the southernmost corner of Rural Section No. 25597; thence by the southern boundary-lines of Rural Sections Nos. 25597, 28825, 20259, 28532, 20257, and 28533 to the south-west corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line to the north-east corner of Rural Section No. 28821; and thence by that section and Rural Sections Nos. 30443, 28462, and 21213 to the road forming the western boundary of the last-mentioned section; again towards the North-east by the County of Geraldine to the Pareora River; towards the South generally by the County of Waimate to the Waitaki River; towards the West generally by the County of Waitaki to the summit of the Southern Alps; and towards the North-west by the summit of the Southern Alps.
WAIMATE.
This district is bounded towards the North by the Gladstone Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the East by the Timaru Electoral District, hereinbefore described, and the ocean to the Waihao River; towards the South and West by the said Waihao River and its north branch to its source; and thence by a right line to Mount Nimrod.
WAITAKI.
This district is bounded towards the North-east generally by the Electoral Districts of Gladstone and Waimate, hereinbefore described; towards the East by the ocean to the Landon Creek; towards the South-west by that creek to the northern boundary of Block I., Oamaru Survey District; thence by the said Block I. and Block II. to the Oamaru Stream; again towards the East by the said Oamaru Stream to the northern boundary-line of Block IV., Oamaru Survey District; towards the South and again towards the East by the said Block IV., and by Sections Nos. 38, 37, 36, 35, and 34, Block VI., Oamaru Survey District, and the western boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to the ocean; again towards the East by the ocean to the creek at the southern boundary of the Quarry Reserve in Block IV., Otepopo Survey District; again towards the South generally by that creek and the Allday Road, being the northern boundary of Sections Nos. 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, and 9, Block III., Otepopo Survey District, and of Sections Nos. 73, 77, 76, 75, 74, and 54, Block V., Otepopo Survey District, to the Main North Road, by that road to the northern boundary of the said Block V., by Block V. aforesaid, and Blocks VIII. and XIV., and the northern boundary-line of the last-mentioned block produced to the summit of the Kakanui Mountains; towards the South-west by the summit of the Kakanui Mountains, through the Maruwenua Pass, to Kyeburn Hill; thence by the summit of the Mount Ida and Hawkdun Mountains to a point due east from Mount St. Bathan’s; thence by a line due west to Mount St. Bathans; thence by the summit of the range through Lindis Pass over Longslip Hill to Mount Ward; and towards the North-west by the summit of the Southern Alps.
OAMARU.
This district is bounded towards the West, North, and North-east by the Waitaki Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the western boundary-line of Section No. 34, Block VI., Oamaru Survey District, to the mouth of the Landon Creek; and towards the South-east by the ocean.
WAIHEMO.
This district is bounded towards the North by the Waitaki Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the South-east by the ocean and Blueskin Bay to the northern boundary-line of Block II., North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; towards the South by the said Block II. and a line due west from the north-west corner of that block to the south branch of the Waikouaiti River; again towards the South-east by the south branch of the Waikouaiti River to the northern boundary-line of Block III., North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; again towards the South by the said Block III. and Block X., Silverpeak Survey District; towards the West generally by the said Silverpeak Survey District to the summit of the Silverpeak Range; thence by the summit of the range over Trig.
