Vesting a Reserve in Canterbury.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of June, 1887.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was reserved for river-conservation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Board of Conservators of the South Waimakariri District:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Board of Conservators of the South Waimakariri District, in trust, for the improvement and protection of the banks of the Waimakariri River.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 60 acres, more or less, situate in the Christchurch Survey District. Bounded towards the North-west by the River Waimakariri, also by the road-line south-east of Sections Nos. 2379 and 2453; towards the North-east and South-east by the road forming part of the western boundary of Reserve No. 1360 (in red); and towards the South by the road north of Sections Nos. 534 and 465, and numbered 2695 (in red): as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

Vesting a Reserve in the Corporation of the Borough of Waimate.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of June, 1887.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto were reserved for a manure depot and for drainage purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said lands in the Corporation of the Borough of Waimate:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserves shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and burgesses of the Borough of Waimate.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Borough of Waimate, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 9 acres and 13 perches, more or less, being Section No. 2553 (in red), situate in the Waimate Survey District. Bounded towards the North by the Railway Terrace South, 955 links; thence towards the North-east by the said terrace, 264 links; thence towards the South-east by a line bearing 203° 50′ 30″, 244 links; thence again towards the North-east, 143° 16′ 30″, 523 links; thence again towards the South-east, 244° 2′, 407 links, and 199° 19′ 40″, 259 links; thence towards the South-west, 320° 54′, 518 links; thence again towards the South-east, 207° 34′ 20″, 200 links; and thence again towards the South-west, 152° 15′, 1062 links, to the place of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. For a manure depot.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Borough of Waimate, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 2 roods 38 perches, more or less, being Section No. 2555 (in red), situate in the Waimate Survey District. Bounded towards the North by the Railway Terrace South, 278 links; towards the North-east by Reserve No. 2553 (in red), 1062 links; towards the South-east, 207° 34′ 20″, 292 nks, 191° 29′, 415 links, and 220° 37′, 545 links; and towards

the West by a road-line, 2005 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. For drainage purposes.

Native Land proposed to be taken at Sentry Hill for the Purposes of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of May, 1887.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorized to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway: And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcels of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

THE several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

All in the Provincial District of Taranaki; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 14707, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured green and red.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorized to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the construction of works for the purposes of defence at Taiaroa Heads, Otago: And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the construction of works for the purposes of defence at Taiaroa Heads, Otago, shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
