Amending Boundaries of the North Amuri Rabbit District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of June, 1887.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-
second day of March, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
of the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-seven, the North Amuri Rabbit District was con-
stituted a district under "The Rabbit Nuisance Act 1882
Amendment Act, 1886," with the boundaries described in
the Schedule to the said Order in Council:

And whereas it is expedient to amend the boundaries of
the said district:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby amend the boundaries of the said rabbit
district, and doth declare that the boundaries of the said
district shall be those described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AMURI RABBIT DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial District of Nelson bounded
as follows: Commencing at a point where a right line from
Top House to Barefell Pass intersects the Wairau River;
towards the North-east by the said line to Barefell Pass;
thence by the Guide and Acheron Rivers to the confluence of
the Acheron with the Clarence River; thence by a right line
to the source of the Conway River, and by that river to the
sea; towards the South-east by the sea, to the mouth of the
River Waiau-ua; towards the South and West by that river
to the bridge at Upper Waiau; thence by the Hanmer
Plains Main Road and the track over Jack's Pass to the
River Clarence; thence by that river and Lake Tennyson;
thence by a right line to the summit of the Spencer Moun-
tains; thence by the summit of the Spencer Mountains and
St. Arnaud Range to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Section No. 6, Wisenhaven Run; thence to and
by the said section and the Wairau River to the starting-
point: exclusive of the Leslie Hills Estate, which is bounded
towards the North by the River Hanmer, towards the East
by a road running along Section No. 87 of the Lyndon
Estate and by the stream which forms part of the boundary
between the Leslie Hills and Lyndon Estates to the River
Waiau-ua, and thence towards the South and West by the
said River Waiau-ua.

Extension of Time for preparing Waipawa County Rolls.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of June, 1887.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to
unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the
rolls for the County of Waipawa, and the taking of certain
steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and
taken within the times limited by "The Counties Act, 1866,"
and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several
dates mentioned in the second column of the Schedule
hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several
steps set opposite such times in the first column of the said
Schedule respectively.

SCHEDULE.

1. Time for appeals against the rolls of the ridings in the County of Waipawa: 1. Until the 28th July, 1887.
2. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: 2. Until the 25th August, 1887.
3. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: 3. On the 25th August, 1887.

Validating Burgess Roll of Borough of Palmerston North.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of June, 1887.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the burgess
roll of the Borough of Palmerston North for the year
commencing on the first day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-seven, was prepared and completed after
the times required by "The Municipal Corporations Act,
1886," and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by
the said "Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," doth hereby
declare that the burgess roll of the said Borough of Palmer-
ston North, for the year commencing from the first day of
June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, so made
as aforesaid, shall be as valid to all intents and purposes as
though the same had been made within the times required
by the said Act.

Native Land proposed to be taken on the Opaki Section of
the Wellington-Napier Railway.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of June, 1887.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a public work authorized
to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the Opaki
Section of the Wellington-Napier Railway: And whereas the
said land is held or occupied by Native owners:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and the
amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order
that the Government work known as the Opaki Section of the
Wellington-Napier Railway shall and may be constructed on
or through the parcel of land more particularly mentioned in
the Schedule hereto.
