Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Hawke’s Bay.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of
“ The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to
time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks
or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same
aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclama-
tion may fix a day on which the land shall be open for appli-
cation; and that he may also in like manner set apart for
sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from
time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclama-
tion:
And whereas the Land Board of Hawke’s Bay has passed a
resolution recommending that the land described in the
Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on de-
ferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid
recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on
deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the twentieth
day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven,
shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for
application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the
selection map in the principal land office of the district.

Declaring State Forests in the Land District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by “ The New Zealand State Forests Act,
1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me
in that behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, do hereby revoke the Proclamation issued on the
twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six, setting apart forest lands described in the Schedule
thereto, forming part of the Crown lands of New Zealand, as
and for a State forest within the provisions of the said Act,
and in lieu thereof do, with the like advice and consent, set
apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as and for a
State forest.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Tairua Survey
District, Provincial District of Auckland, containing by
admeasurement 3,910 acres, more or less. Bounded towards
the North by a line, 9400 links; towards the East by a line,
14000 links; towards the South by a line, 4000 links; again
towards the East by a line, 17000 links; again towards the
South by a line, 8400 links; and generally towards the West
by the Whangamata No. 1 Timber Lease 8200 and 1000 links,
by the Omahu Timber Lease 12200 links, and by the
Wharekawa East No. 1 Timber Lease 13860 and 3700 links
to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.
