SCHEDULE.
ALL that area situated in the Pelorus Sound, in the Marlborough Land District, containing approximately 6,200 acres; commencing at a point on the shores of Tawhitinui Reach due north of Trig. L, Orieri Survey District. Bounded Northerly and Easterly by the waters of Tawhitinui Reach and Pelorus Sound to Trig. D, in the said survey district; thence southerly by a leading spur to the eastern boundary of a proposed reserve, for the growth and preservation of timber, along the summit of the range; thence westerly by that reserve and by the summit of the range to Trig. L aforesaid; thence by a right line to the commencing-point: excepting therefrom Sections 1, Block VIII., and 1, Block XI., in the said survey district.
Also all that area in the Pelorus Sound, in the Orieri Survey District, containing approximately 2,150 acres, including the land within the watershed of Four-fathom Bay; excepting therefrom Sections 166 and 167, District of Pelorus Sound.
Also all that area in the Pelorus Sound, in the Orieri Survey District, containing approximately 1,180 acres; commencing at the north-west corner of Section 1, Block V., in the said survey district. Bounded generally Easterly and Southerly by that section, the summit of the range between Clova and Crail Bays, a leading spur, and Section 3, Block V., to the waters of Crail Bay; thence westerly and northerly by Crail and Clova Bays to the commencing-point: excepting therefrom Section 1, District of Pelorus Sound.
Also all that area in the Pelorus Sound, in the Linkwater Survey District, containing approximately 1,300 acres; commencing at the north-east corner of Section 165, District of Pelorus Sound. Bounded generally Northerly, Easterly, and Southerly by Kenepuru Sound, Broughton Bay, a road-line, Section 2, Block III., and Mahau Sound to the south-eastern corner of Section 4, Block II.; thence generally westerly by that section, Section 2, Block II., and Section 165 aforesaid to the commencing-point.
Also all that area in the Pelorus Sound, in the Gore Survey District, containing approximately 1,100 acres; commencing at a leading spur on the western boundary-line of Section 97, District of Pelorus Sound. Bounded Westerly by that spur to a reserve for the growth and preservation of timber, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette, 1881, page 959; thence northerly and easterly by that reserve and a leading spur to the northern boundary-line of Section 2, Block VI.; thence southerly by that section and by Sections 157, District of Pelorus Sound, 1, Block I., 10, District of Pelorus Sound, and 97 aforesaid to the commencing-point.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Blenheim, and subject to modification of boundaries after survey.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation: And whereas the lands specified in the Schedule hereto were, with other lands, by Proclamations dated the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, and the sixteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, pro-
claimed as set apart for sale on deferred payment: And whereas it is expedient to withdraw the said land from the deferred-payment system:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby revoke the Proclamations above referred to, so far as they relate to the sections therein mentioned and included in the Schedule hereto, and do proclaim and declare that the said sections are hereby withdrawn from the operation of the deferred-payment system.
