SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 2,950 acres, more or less, and situated in Blocks IX. and X., Waoku Survey District; commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of Block VII., Hokianga Survey District, being the south-eastern corner of a forest reserve, which is situated in Blocks IX. and X., Waoku Survey District aforesaid. Bounded towards the North and North-east by the aforesaid forest reserve, 24600 and 6000 links; towards the East by a line, 7200 links; towards the South by land set apart for the Canterbury Association for village homestead special-settlement purposes, 30200 links; towards the West by the eastern boundary of Block VII., Hokianga Survey District aforesaid, 10000 links, to the commencing-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for certain works, to wit, the construction of streets in the Borough of Sydenham, Provincial District of Canterbury:

And whereas the Sydenham Borough Council has laid before the Governor the memorials, accompanied by maps, and also the statutory declarations required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said streets; and further, that, subject hereto, the said lands shall vest in the Corporation of the said borough on and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of the Hurunui-Tophouse Road:

And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, as required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.
