trict of Hawke’s Bay bounded towards the North-east by the
Kahututae Atua Stream to its junction with the Manawatu
River ; thence towards the North-west by the Manawatu
River to its junction with the Waikopiro Stream ; thence
towards the North-east by the Waikopiro Stream to the south-
west corner of Block LXIX., Takapau Survey District ;
thence towards the North-east by the Ruataniwha and Wai-
pukurau Ridings, hereinbefore described, to the junction of
the Tauraekaitai and Whatatuna Streams ; thence in a
southerly direction by the Patangata County to the junction
of the Mangapuaka and Wangai Streams ; thence in a
south-westerly direction by the Mangapuaka and Tarereai-
garehu Streams to their junction with the Manawatu
River ; thence towards the North-west by the Manawatu
and Mangatawainui Rivers to the south-west corner of
Section 124, Block IX., Tapapa Survey District ; again
towards the North-west by Sections 125, 13, 10, and 91 ;
thence towards the North-east by Sections 151, 152, 153, and
154 ; thence towards the North-west by Sections 154, 84A,
85, 85A, 85B, 86, 86A, 87, 87A, and 89 to the place of com-
mencement :

Norsewood Riding.—All that area in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Hawke’s Bay bounded towards the North and East
by the Ruataniwha Riding, hereinbefore described ; towards
the South and South-east by the Ormondville Riding, here-
inbefore described, to the northern boundary of the Otanga
or Manawatu No. 4B Block ; thence by the Otanga Block to
the Whaka-rua-tapu Stream ; thence by an east and west
line to the Mangatera Stream ; thence in a north-westerly
direction by the Mangatera Stream ; thence by the Manga-
tera Stream to the north-west corner of Section 31 of Block
XIII., Norsewood Survey District ; thence along the northern
boundary of the Umutaoroa Block to the county boundary ;
and thence in a north-westerly direction by the county
boundary to the place of commencement :

Danevirke Riding.—All that area in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Hawke’s Bay bounded towards the North and
North-west by the Norsewood Riding, hereinbefore de-
scribed ; thence towards the South and North by the
Ormondville Riding, hereinbefore described ; thence towards
the North-east and South-east by the Patangata County to
the Oporae Trig. Station No. 51 ; thence towards the South
generally by Puketoi No. 6 Block, Education Reserve, Blocks
XIV. and IX., Tahoraite Survey District ; towards the
North-west by the Napier Borough Reserve to the Wood-
ville Coach-road ; thence along that road to where it crosses
the Mangapukakakahu Stream ; thence along that stream
in a westerly direction to the southern boundary of the
Tamaki Block, and along the southern boundary of that block
to Trig. Station 85, at county boundary ; thence in a north-
westerly direction by county boundary to the north-west
corner of Umutaoroa or Manawatu No. 1 Block, the place of
commencement :

Woodville Riding.—All that area in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Hawke’s Bay bounded towards the North generally
by the Danevirke Riding, hereinbefore described ; thence
towards the South-east by the Patangata County boundary
from Oporae Trig. Station No. 51 to Trig. Station No. 52c ;
thence towards the South-west and North-west by the county
boundary to the north-western corner of the Maharaha
Block, the place of commencement :

and that the number of members be increased to nine ;
the Ridings of Woodville, Danevirke, Norsewood, Ormond-
ville, and Waipukurau to have one member each, and the
Ridings of Ruataniwha and Waipawa to have two members
each.

THE following special order, made by the Egmont Road
Board, is published in accordance with “The Road
Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT a special rate of three farthings in the pound be
levied on all rateable property within the part of the Egmont
Road District, excepting Crown and Native lands, described
in the Schedule hereto.

All the lands that lie within the following boundaries, that
is to say : Bounded towards the North by the sea-beach from
the mouth of the Waiwakaiho Stream to Section 157, Hua
District ; thence by the said Section 157 and Section 33
to the Devon Road ; thence by the Devon Road to the
north-west corner of Section 4, Hua District ; thence by the
western boundaries of Sections 4 and 6 to the north corner
of Section 46 ; thence along the north-western boundary of
the said Section 46 to its western corner ; thence in a south-
easterly direction by the western boundaries of Sections 46,
48, 49, 51, 53, 55, 56, 60, 61, 64, 65, 67, 69, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80,
81, and 82 to the Mangawaka Stream ; thence by the said
stream to the southern boundary of Section 45, Hua and
Waiwakaiho Hundred ; thence by the northern boundary of
Section 46, the Egmont Road, the northern boundary of
Section 47, the Araheke Stream, and the north-western
boundary of Section 48 to the Waiwakaiho Stream ; and
thence by the Waiwakaiho to the sea-beach.

Such rate to be an annually-recurring rate until the loan
of £740 is paid off.

The first special rate will be payable on the 1st day of
February, 1888, and on same day every year for twenty-six
years.

I hereby certify that the above special order was passed
in conformity with sections 15, 75, 119, 120, and 121 of “The
Road Boards Act, 1882,” section 21 of “The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1886,” and section 6 of “The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886.”

THE following special order, made by the Kiwitea Road
Board, is published in accordance with “The Road
Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Kiwitea Road Board at a
Meeting held on Thursday, the 28th April, 1887.

THAT a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny in the
pound be hereby made upon the rateable value of the
whole of the rateable properties within the old Kiwitea
and Waituna Blocks, which comprise the Makino, Oroua,
and Kimbolton Wards, and part of Waituna Ward (being
that portion of the ward south of the Waitapu Block, as
appearing in the valuation-roll of the Kiwitea Road Board
in force for the year ending the 31st March, 1888), for the
purpose of paying principal and interest on a loan of £1,968,
borrowed under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies
Act, 1886 ;” such rate to be annually recurring for twenty-
six years, and to be payable at the office of the Board, Feild-
ing, in one sum, on the 1st day of May in each year.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly
made by the Kiwitea Road Board, in conformity with the
provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and amend-
ments.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT the number of ridings within the Wanganui County be
six, to be named respectively the Mangawhero, the Upper
Wangaehu, the Kaitoke, the Mateongaonga, the Purua, and
the Kaukatea, with boundaries and representation as de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto.

Schedule above referred to.

The Mangawhero Riding to be represented by two mem-
bers, and to comprise the whole of the Mangawhero Road
District, as described and bounded in the New Zealand Ga-
zette No. 125, of the 1st December, 1883.

The Upper Wangaehu Riding to be represented by one
member, and to comprise the whole of the Upper Wangaehu
Road District, as described and bounded in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 125, of the 1st December, 1883.
