HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Saturday, the 21st day of May, 1887, to be the time, and the Courthouse, Waiau, to be the place, for holding the first election of five Trustees of the North Amuri Rabbit District, as constituted under “The Rabbit Nuisance Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1886;” also to appoint Tuesday, the 7th day of June, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, to be the time, and the Courthouse, Waiau, to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Trustees of the said district shall be held.

NOTICE is hereby given that ARTHUR BRISCOE AND COMPANY, of Dunedin, in the Colony of New Zealand, have applied to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz.:—
Description of Trade Mark.
A brand consisting of a trident surmounted by the words “Silver Ray,” and having the letters “B.B.B” underneath. To be used in conjunction with the following words: “Safe and Brilliant Kerosene Oil, 130° test;” or the same description of kerosene oil, “150° test.”
Nature of the Article to which it is intended such Trade Mark shall apply.

THE following special orders, made by the Rangitikei County Council, are published in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

In the matter of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and in the matter of the alteration of the number, names, and boundaries of the ridings in the Rangitikei County for the purpose of adjustment of representation in the Rangitikei County Council.
WHEREAS at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council, held at the Council Chambers, Marton, on Saturday, the 5th day of March, 1887, for the purpose of considering whether the representation of the ridings of the Rangitikei County required readjustment, it was found that, taking into consideration the number of ratepayers and rateable values of the respective ridings, and in order that the representation of the separate ridings should, as far as possible, be proportioned to the rateable value and number of each riding respectively, alterations of the number of ridings within the county and of the boundaries of some of them were required: It was therefore resolved that the
