THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Maungakawa-Waiorongomai Road, in the Waitoa Road District, shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Extending Season for Shooting Hares, Rangitikei-Manawatu District.

WHEREAS by a warrant made under “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, dated the twenty-second day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, it is notified that hares might be taken or killed in the Counties of Manawatu and Oroua, and the Ridings of Clifton and Rangitoto, in the County of Rangitikei, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven: And whereas it is expedient to extend the time during which hares may be taken or killed in the said district:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the aforesaid Acts, do hereby notify that hares may be taken or killed in the Counties of Manawatu and Oroua, and the Ridings of Clifton and Rangitoto, in the County of Rangitikei, from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.
