Mata, County of Hawke's Bay, being portion of the Te Kena
Block ; commencing at the north-eastern corner of the Te
Kena Block aforesaid. Bounded South-easterly by the
south-eastern boundary of said block, 880 links; North-
westerly by public road, 653 and 238 links respectively ;
North-easterly by the creek forming the north-eastern
boundary of said block, 125 links, to starting-point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 153 acres 3 roods 1 perch, situate in the Survey Dis-
trict of Takapau; commencing at a point on the southern
boundary of Block CCXXXIV. Bounded generally North-
westerly and Westerly by lines, 507, 926, 319, and 3835 links
respectively; North-easterly by a line, 100 links ; generally
North-westerly and Westerly by lines, 1000, 428, 1903, 843,
332, 540, 5568, 389, 660, and 2343 links respectively ;
Northerly by lines, 2660, 619, 2637, and 844 links respec-
tively; North-westerly and Westerly by lines, 1329, 1385,
63, 524, 645, 708, 2119, 1047, 4419, 291, 1278, 342, 1120, and
1824 links respectively; Northerly by a line, 879 links ;
generally North-westerly and Westerly by lines, 1708, 342,

tively, to the boundary of the Native land on the bank of the

South-easterly and Easterly by lines, 1648 and 1215 links
respectively; Southerly by a line, 879 links; generally South-

respectively; Southerly by lines, 2637, 532, and 2660 links
respectively; generally South-easterly and Easterly by lines,

respectively; North-easterly by a line, 100 links; Easterly
by lines, 3885, 319, and 1443 links respectively, to the
boundary of Block CCXXXIV.; Northerly by the boundary
of Block CCXXXIV., 609 links, to the starting-point.

Be all the above areas and linkages either more or less ;
and the several parcels of land being situate in the Provin-
cial District of Hawke's Bay, Colony of New Zealand; the
same being now particularly delineated upon the plans
marked P.W.D. 6723 and 9529, deposited in the office of the
Minister for Public Works at Wellington, in the Provincial
District of Wellington.

Run for Sale by Auction.

RUN to be submitted to public auction, at the Land
Office, Christchurch, on Friday, the 22nd April, 1887,
at 12 o'clock noon.

The license will be for a term of two years ten months and
eight days, terminating on the 1st March, 1890. Purchasers
will have to pay one year four months and eight days' rental
to the 1st September, 1888, on the fall of the hammer.

Plan may be seen and particulars obtained at the Land
Office, Christchurch.

Crown Lands on Perpetual Lease as Village Homestead
Special Settlements, under Section 163, "The Land Act,
1885," and the Regulations issued by the Governor under
the Authority of the said Section, and published in
"Gazette" No. 45, of the 2nd September, 1886.—Land
District of Canterbury.

IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned sections
are opened for lease for a term of thirty years, with the
right of renewal for further terms of twenty-one years; and
that applications will be received on Saturday, the 30th
April, for the said leases, at the Land Offices, Christchurch
and Timaru; and also by Mr. March, at the Railway Station,
Winslow, on the 27th April; at the Railway Station, Hinds, on
the 28th April; and at the Courthouse, Ashburton, on the 29th
April. The applications received by Mr. March will bear
the same date as those received at the Land Office, Christ-
church:—

The only charge for the lease will be a fee of 10s. No
selector shall take up more than one allotment. Plans may
