Sitting of the Native Land Court.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at Waipawa, on Tuesday, the 19th day of April, 1887, for the purpose of ascertaining what amount of compensation ought to be paid to the Native owners of the land described in the Schedule below, with respect to the land taken under a Proclamation under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, dated the 9th day of June, 1885, for the Wellington-Napier Railway, which said land is more particularly described in the Schedule hereto; and also for the purpose of ascertaining who are the proper persons entitled to receive such compensation, and what land is affected by the said Proclamation.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 1 perch, situate in the Survey District of Te Mata, County of Hawke's Bay, being portion of Native land; commencing at a point on the southern boundary of Whenua-kura Block 207 links distant from its south-west corner. Bounded generally South-easterly by lines, 20, 262, 262, and 259 links respectively, to the bank of the Poukawa Stream; North-westerly by boundary of Pekapeka Block No. 2 512 links, and by public road 90 links, respectively, to the south-west corner of the Whenuakura Block; North-westerly by the Whenuakura Block, 207 links, to starting-point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods 39 perches, situate in the Survey District of Te Mata, County of Hawke's Bay, being portion of the Kopararoke Block; commencing at a point on the boundary between Pekapeka No. 2 and Kopararoke Blocks 126 links distant from the northernmost corner of Tarere Block. Bounded generally South and South-easterly by lines, 1622, 364, 6653, 2725, 187, and 442 links respectively, to boundary of Te Aute No. 5 Block; South-westerly by said boundary, 102 links; generally North and North-westerly by lines, 418, 210, 2764, 919, 5734, 330, and 1612 links respectively, to boundary between Pekapeka No. 2 and Kopararoke Blocks aforesaid; North-easterly by said boundary, 100 links, to starting-point.
