NOTE.—The term “intercolonial trading vessel,” when used in this Order in Council, shall mean and include any vessel actually trading between New Zealand and any port within the Australian Colonies, including Tasmania, or between New Zealand and any of the islands lying between the parallels of thirty degrees North and thirty degrees South latitude and the meridians of one hundred and fifty-five degrees East and one hundred and thirty degrees West longitude. (Section 5, “Shipping and Seamen’s Act, 1877.”)
The term “coasting vessels” and “coasters” shall mean and include all vessels while employed in trading from any one part of the colony to any other part thereof.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of March, 1887.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE COLONIAL TREASURER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS a petition from the majority of the stock-owners in that part of the colony specified in the Schedule hereto has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying him to constitute such part of the colony a district for the purposes of Part II. of “The Rabbit Nuisance Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1886” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and it appears expedient to grant the prayer of the said petition:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth constitute all that part of the said colony described in the Schedule hereto a district for the purposes of Part II. of the said Act, and doth hereby declare that such district shall be known by the name of “The North Amuri Rabbit District.”
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Nelson bounded as follows: Commencing at a point where a right line from Top House to Barefell Pass intersects the Wairau River; thence by said line to Barefell Pass; thence by the Guide and Acheron Rivers to the confluence of the Acheron with the Clarence River; thence by a right line to the source of the Conway River and by that river to the sea; thence by the sea to the mouth of the River Dillon; thence by that river and the Henry River to its source at Travers Peak; thence by the summit of the Spencer Mountains and St. Arnaud Range to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section No. 6, Wisenhaven Run; thence to and by said section and the Wairau River to the starting-point: exclusive of the Leslie Hills Estate, which is bounded towards the North by the River Hanmer; towards the East by a road running along Section No. 87 of the Lyndon Estate, and by the stream which forms part of the boundary between the Leslie Hills and Lyndon Estates to the River Dillon; and thence towards the South and West by the said River Dillon.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of February, 1887.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway, branch from Racecourse to Southbridge, with a sub branch to Little River and thence to Akaroa (portion of sub-branch to Little River and thence to Akaroa), shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as a road in the Omapere Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, shall and may be constructed on or through the parcels of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing approximately 650 acres, situate in the Omapere Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the North generally by the Whakanekeneke River; towards the South generally by the Pataikoka Block (No. 252), 598, 362, 238, 536, 233, and 1173 links; towards the East generally by the same block, 833, 770, 477, 504, and 535 links; towards the South generally by Section No. 36, Parish of Okaihau, 1205 links, by Section No. 37 of the same parish 2910 and 903 links, by Section No. 38 211 and 3396 links, by Section No. 39 2654, 670, and 610 links, and by Section No. 40, all of the Parish of Okaihau aforesaid, 1646 and 1403 links; and towards the South-west by Section No. 2, Block V., Omapere Survey District, 700 and 63 links, by the crossing of a public road 100 links wide, and again by Section No. 2 aforesaid 47, 473, 57, and 363 links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that piece or parcel of land containing approximately 60 acres, more or less, situate in the Omapere Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the North generally by the Whakanekeneke River; towards the East generally by Section No. 70 of the Parish of Okaihau 55 links, by the crossing of a public road 100 links wide, and by a public road 1230 links; towards the South generally by a public road 179 links, and by Section No. 35, Parish of Okaihau aforesaid, 4083 links; and towards the West by the Pataikoka Block (No. 252), 676 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
