hundred and eighty-seven, at one o'clock in the afternoon, shall be the time, and the Courthouse, Rotorua, shall be the place, at which the first meeting of the said Council shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
North Riding.—Comprises all that area in the County of Rotorua bounded towards the North by a line running due east and west through Otanewainuku Trig. Station; towards the East by the County of Whakatane, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 111, of the 30th December, 1882, to the Tarawera River; thence towards the South and South-west by that river and Tarawera Lake and the Wairoa Stream until crossed by the main road from Wairoa to Rotorua; thence towards the South-west by a line along the middle of that road to the middle of Fenton Street, in the Township of Rotorua; thence towards the West by a line along the middle of that street and that line produced to Lake Rotorua; thence again towards the South-west by the shore of that lake to Tahererauti; thence again towards the East by a straight line to a point where a line drawn along the middle of Rangiuru Street intersects a line drawn along the middle of the Tauranga—Rotorua Road; thence again towards the South-west by a line along the middle of that road to the Oxford—Rotorua Road; thence by a line along the middle of the latter road to the County of Piako, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 111, of the 30th December, 1882; and thence towards the North-west and again towards the South-west by that county to a point due west of Otanewainuku Trig. Station aforesaid.
South Riding.—Comprises all that area in the County of Rotorua bounded towards the North-east and North generally by the North Riding, hereinbefore described; towards the East by the County of Whakatane, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 111, of the 30th December, 1882; towards the South-west by the County of East Taupo, as described in “The Counties Act, 1876;” and towards the North-west by the County of Piako, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 111, of the 30th December, 1882.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Dunedin, this nineteenth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Resuming Possession of Part of Section No. 19, Block XV., Mangahao Survey District, for the Purpose of a Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and fifty-eighth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby resume possession of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that irregular piece of land, of a general width of not less than 100 links, situate in Sections Nos. 19 and 18, Block XV., Mangahao Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and containing by admeasurement 8 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less. Commencing at a point on the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 19, and measuring 2419 links along the eastern side of the said road from the south-west corner of Section No. 19 aforesaid; the southern boundary of the said piece of land proceeds thence generally in a south-easterly direction to a point on the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 18 distant 881 links from the north-eastern corner of the same section: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 2357/23, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may at any time, upon the petition of the Mayor and Council of a borough, publicly notified, by a Proclamation alter the boundaries of such borough so as to include therein any part of the foreshore or any land reclaimed from the sea adjacent to such borough: And whereas a petition has been presented to me by the Mayor and Councillors of the Borough of Devonport, praying me to alter the boundaries of the said borough so as to include therein the piece of land described in the First Schedule hereto, being foreshore adjacent to the said borough:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said borough are hereby altered so as to include within the limits of the said borough the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and that the said borough shall henceforth be bounded as specified in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ADDITION TO THE BOROUGH OF DEVONPORT.
ALL that area being the whole of the foreshore of the borough between high- and low-water mark.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOROUGH OF DEVONPORT.
ALL that area bounded as follows: Commencing at a point at low-water mark of Shoal Bay in line with the southern boundary of Section No. 8, Parish of Takapuna; thence towards the North by a right line to and by said Section No. 8 and by Section No. 7, the road forming the southern boundary of Section No. 5, and the southern side of that road produced to the sea at low-water mark; towards the East by low-water mark of the sea; towards the South by low-water mark of Waitemata Harbour; and towards the West generally by the low-water mark of Shoal Bay.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Proclamation of the sixteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, by His Excellency the Governor, setting apart sections of land for leasing as small grazing runs in so far as it relates to Sections numbered two hundred and seventy, two hundred and seventy-five, two hundred and seventy-six, and two hundred and seventy-seven, Block eleven, Wainuioru, and do hereby declare that the said sections of land shall be set apart as small grazing-runs, and subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and ninety-
