Amending Proclamation setting apart Land for a Village Homestead Special Settlement for Perpetual Leasing in the Canterbury Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation issued under my hand on the fifteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, setting apart land in the Fairlie Creek Township as a village homestead special settlement, and in lieu thereof I do hereby proclaim and declare that the sections of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for application as a village homestead special settlement for perpetual leasing, upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the second section of “The Timber-floating Act, 1884,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following river and streams within the colony may be used under license for the purposes of the said Act:—

The Waipawa River and its tributaries, the Mangataura and Makarara Streams, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay.
