of the Patea River from the confiscation boundary-line at the south-western corner of the Toko A Block to where the confiscation boundary-line intersects it in the Pukekino Block; thence towards the South-east by a straight line to the source of the Ingahape Stream; thence by that stream and the Manawapou River to its mouth; thence towards the South-west by the ocean to the Waingongoro Stream; thence towards the North-west and North by the west bank of that stream and the north bank of the Mangawhero Stream to the confiscation boundary-line; thence again towards the South-west and North-west by the confiscation boundary-line aforesaid to the Patea River aforesaid.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation given under my hand on the eighteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, constituting districts under the said Act so far only as the said Proclamation purported to constitute the Hawera District, and do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Hawera District shall for the purposes of the said Act be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage district bearing the same name as is set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

Land set apart for Village Homestead Special Settlements for Perpetual Leasing in the Canterbury Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the sections of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for application as a village homestead special settlement for perpetual leasing, upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas the lands specified in the Schedule hereto were, with other lands, by Proclamation dated the twelfth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, proclaimed as set apart for sale on deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to withdraw the said land from the deferred-payment system:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby revoke the Proclamation above referred to, so far as it relates to the sections therein mentioned and included in the Schedule hereto, and do proclaim and declare that the said sections are hereby withdrawn from the operation of the deferred-payment system.
