Branch Race No. 3.—All that area, 25 links wide, situate in the Hawkins Survey District, County of Selwyn, commencing at or near the northern corner of Section No. 25751, and proceeding southerly, intersecting Sections Nos. 25751, 23804, 23751, and 14065, to and across a public road; thence intersecting Section No. 12671; thence easterly intersecting Sections Nos. 12671 and 13993; and thence southerly generally intersecting Sections Nos. 12686, 14018, 13627, 14364, 9782, and 10033 to the public road forming the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section thirty-two of “The Counties Acts Amendment Act, 1883,” and at the request of the Selwyn County Council, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be a water-race, as defined by section thirty-one of the said Act, to be known by the name of the Bluff Water-race; and, further, that the River Selwyn, in the County of Selwyn, shall be a stream which may be taken for the purpose of supplying the said water-race.
SCHEDULE.
BLUFF WATER-RACE DISTRICT.
Bluff Water-race.
Main Race.—All that strip of land, 50 links in width, situate in the Hororata Survey District, County of Selwyn, commencing in the Selwyn River-bed about 100 links to the north-east of the south-west end of the Coalgate Bridge, and proceeding south-easterly along the said river-bed and Reserve No. 1758 to a point in the said Reserve No. 1758 a distance of about 5100 links from the commencing-point aforesaid.
Branch Races.
Haldon Branch.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width, situate in the Survey Districts of Hororata and Hawkins, County of Selwyn, commencing at the main race, hereinbefore described, in Reserve No. 1758, and proceeding south-easterly through the said Reserve No. 1758, and along the south-west side of Section No. 33457, over a road, and along the south-west sides of Sections Nos. 33564 and 33565, over a road, and along the south-west side of Section No. 33566 a distance of about 1600 links, over a road, and along the north-east side of Sections Nos. 21193, 11543, 21192, 22012,
23186, 31052, a closed road; and thence along Sections Nos. 31053 and 22013 a distance of about 1000 links, over a road, and through Section No. 31054, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 32586, 10609, 14873, 10608, 14872, over a road, and through Section No. 10108, over a road, and through Section No. 10610, over and along a road to a point at the north-west corner of Section No. 10612.
Rollett’s Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width, situate in the Hawkins Survey District, County of Selwyn, commencing at the Haldon Branch Race, hereinbefore described, on the closed road opposite the north-west corner of Section No. 31053, and proceeding southerly along the eastern side of the said closed road, and over a road, and along the north-west boundary of Section No. 4003 to the north-west corner of Section No. 15161.
Hartnell’s Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width, situate in the Survey Districts of Hororata and Hawkins, County of Selwyn, commencing at the Haldon Branch Race, hereinbefore described, in Section No. 33565, Hawkins Survey District, and proceeding southerly over a road, and through Sections Nos. 31059, 21195, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 21194 and 31058, and over a road to the north-west corner of Section No. 23166.
Mill Branch.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width, situate in the Hororata Survey District, County of Selwyn, commencing at the Bluff Main Race, hereinbefore described, in Reserve No. 1758, and proceeding southerly, generally, through the said Reserve No. 1758, over a road, through Reserves Nos. 1757 and 1917, over a road, and through Section No. 9882 to a point opposite Section No. 22010; thence over a road, and through Section No. 22010 aforesaid and Section No. 28526, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 12624, 22964, 25822, 28998, 25822, and 22964 aforesaid, and over a road, and through Section No. 12672, Reserve No. 2217, Sections Nos. 12672 aforesaid and 18164, Reserve No. 1589, and Section No. 12576, over and along a road, and through Reserve No. 1818 and Sections Nos. 22968, 26484, along and over a road, and through Section No. 26485, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 12331, 8892, 15138, over a road, and through Section No. 15637, and over a road, and through Section No. 15163 to a point at the north-east corner of Section No. 6124.
Pound Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width, situate in the Hororata Survey District, County of Selwyn, commencing at the Mill Branch Race, hereinbefore described, on the north-west side of the road opposite Section No. 22010, and proceeding south-westerly along the said road a distance of about 1700 links; thence through Section No. 9882, and along the aforesaid road and over Aitken’s Road to the north-east corner of Section No. 9925; thence along the eastern side of Section No. 9925 aforesaid a distance of about 3300 links; thence over a road, and through Section No. 28526, over a road, and through Reserve No. 1312, over a road, and through Reserves Nos. 2217 and 1074 to the road on the western boundary of the last-mentioned reserve.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation given under my hand on the eighteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, constituting districts under the said Act so far only as the said Proclamation purported to constitute the Hawera District, and do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Hawera District shall, for the purposes of the said Act, be as follows:—
HAWERA DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki bounded towards the North-east and East generally by the east bank
