Branch Races.

Gale's Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Selwyn Survey District, County of Selwyn,
commencing at the Haldon Main Race hereinbefore described
at a point on the south-west boundary of Section No. 28857
and distant 2750 links from its south-east corner, and pro-
ceeding thence easterly along the south-west side of the
aforesaid Section No. 28857, and through Sections Nos.
26942, 26943, over a road, and through Section No. 26944 and
Reserve No. 2211, over a road, and through Reserve No. 2210,
over a road, and through Section No. 28860, Reserve No.
1809, Section No. 33574, and Reserve No. 1809 aforesaid,
and over a road to a point on the western side of the
Southern Railway Reserve opposite the north-east corner of
Section No. 29916.

Centre Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Selwyn Survey District, County of Selwyn,
commencing on the south-west side of the road at the
north-east corner of Reserve No. 2209, and proceeding
south-easterly along the south-west side of the road forming
the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 14478 to the
western boundary of the Southern Railway Reserve.

Dunsandel Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Survey Districts of Hawkins and Selwyn,
County of Selwyn, commencing at the Haldon Main Race,
hereinbefore described, on the south-west side of Reserve No.
1763 where the said race crosses the Dunsandel and Horo-
rata Road, and proceeding south-easterly through the afore-
said Reserve No. 1763 to the south-west corner of Section
No. 32159; thence along the south-western side of the last-
mentioned Section No. 32159 a distance of 3100 links;
thence over a road and along the north-east side of Section
No. 32709 to its north-east corner; thence south-westerly
along a road a distance of about 300 links; thence south-
easterly over the said road and through Section No. 29306,
over a road, and through Sections Nos. 29307, 10101, 29307
aforesaid, Reserve No. 1469, over a road, and along the west
and south-west sides of Section No. 8835 to the Southern
Railway Reserve at the southernmost corner of the last-
mentioned Section No. 8835.

Wright's Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Selwyn Survey District, County of Selwyn,
commencing at the Dunsandel Race, hereinbefore described,
at a point in Section No. 29306 distant about 5100 links from
the north-eastern boundary of the said Section No. 29306,
and proceeding north-easterly through the said Section No.
29306, over a road, through Crown lands, and easterly
through Sections Nos. 29472, 12428, 29472 aforesaid, over a
road, and through Sections Nos. 12494, 10317, 10316, 9455;
thence south-westerly through the last-mentioned section,
over a road, and thence south-easterly generally along the
north-eastern sides of Sections Nos. 28058, 28030, Reserve
No. 1470, and along the north-eastern boundary of Section
No. 10101 about 725 links, over a road, and along the south-
west side of Section No. 9454 and about 250 links in Section
9213; thence along the north-east side of the road between
Sections Nos. 9213 and 10101 a distance of about 4000 links;
thence over the said road and along the north-east side of
Section No. 9322 a distance of about 900 links; thence over
the said road and along its north-eastern side to and across
the Great South Road to Section No. 8835; thence through
the aforesaid Section No. 8835, over a road, and along the
south-west side of Section No. 10710 to the western side of
the Southern Railway Reserve.

Selwyn Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Selwyn Survey District, County of Selwyn,
commencing at the Dunsandel Race, hereinbefore described,
on the road at the north-east corner of Section No. 32709,
and proceeding south-easterly generally along the south-west
side of the road forming the north-east boundary of Section
No. 29306 for a distance of about 1900 links; thence over
the said road and through Crown lands; thence through
Reserves Nos. 932, 916, and 932 aforesaid, and Section No.
12522, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 12351, 12223,
12222, Reserve No. 932 aforesaid, and Sections Nos. 10763,
10474, 12209, 12417, over a road, and through Sections Nos.
12311, 10944, along and over a road, and through Sections
Nos. 10230, 10119, 11186, 9996, 9872, 9781, over a road, and
through Sections Nos. 9318, 9212, 6362, over and along the
Great South Road, and along the north-east side of Section
No. 8835 a distance of about 1300 links; thence easterly
through Section No. 9105, over a road, and along the
northern boundary of Section No. 9104, through a gravel
reserve formerly part of Section No. 4750, over a road, and
thence southerly along the north-western boundary of Sec-
tion No. 10213, over and along a road to the northernmost
corner of Section No. 25898; and thence generally easterly through
Section Nos. 9452, 9107, 9025, 8804, and along the south-
west side of Section No. 8803 to the Southern Railway
Reserve.

Lill's Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Selwyn Survey District, County of Selwyn,
commencing at the Selwyn Race, hereinbefore described,
at a point where the said race enters Section No. 6362,
and proceeding northerly along the north-western boundary
of the said Section No. 6362, and over a road, and along the
north-western boundary of Section No. 4752 a distance of
about 2600 links; thence south-easterly through the said
Section No. 4752, over a road, and through other part of the
said Section No. 4752, over the Main South Road, and
through Section No. 4750, along and over a road, and through
Section No. 12610, along and over a road, and through Sec-
tions Nos. 6744, 7629, and 4089 to the western side of the
Southern Railway Reserve.

Ellesmere Water-race District.

Branch Races.

Selwyn Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Survey Districts of Selwyn and Leeston,
County of Selwyn, commencing at the western side of the
Southern Railway Reserve at the south-west corner of Sec-
tion No. 8803, Selwyn Survey District, and proceeding south-
easterly generally over the aforesaid reserve, through Section
No. 10179, along and over a road, and through Sections Nos.
10945, 9245, over a road, and through Section No. 9246,
Reserves Nos. 1171, 1172, and Sections Nos. 24372, 9247,
over a road, and through Sections Nos. 24371, 12593, 24371
aforesaid, 21703, 24768, over a road, and through Sections
Nos. 23933, 23423, over a road, and through Section No.
21542, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 23115, 23114,
14512, 5935, 11525, over a road, and through Sections Nos.
9562, 7348, 7347, 7349, 9316, Leeston Survey District, to the
north-west boundary of Section No. 9484.

Dunsandel Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Survey Districts of Selwyn and Leeston,
County of Selwyn, commencing at the western side of the
Southern Railway Reserve at the southernmost corner of Sec-
tion No. 8835, Selwyn Survey District, and proceeding gene-
rally south-easterly over the aforesaid reserve, and through
Reserve No. 1762 and Section No. 29025, over a road, and
through Sections Nos. 31992, 15728, 29226, 15216, over a road,
and through Sections Nos. 10424, 27602, 26308, 10424 afore-
said, 10123, Reserve No. 1167, and Section No. 10643, along and
over a road, and through Sections Nos. 14448, 27352, 14448
aforesaid, 14554, 27290, 14660, 15367, 25778, over a road, and
through Sections Nos. 26133, 5937, 5936, 10543, 10516, 14428,
and 5936 aforesaid, and along the road on the north-east side
of Section No. 7483 a distance of about 6100 links; thence
along the north-east side of Section No. 22441 a distance of
about 1000 links, over a road, and through Sections Nos.
10708, 12298, and 9269, over and along a road a distance of
about 500 links; thence along the north-east side of Section
No. 7606 a distance of about 1600 links, and along a road a
distance of about 1500 links; and thence through Section
No. 7606 aforesaid to the junction of the roads at the south-
east corner thereof.

Fraser's Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Selwyn Survey District, County of Selwyn,
commencing at the Dunsandel Race, hereinbefore described,
at the north-east boundary of Section No. 15216, and pro-
ceeding southerly along the north-east sides of Sections Nos.
15216 aforesaid and 18692 a distance of about 3000 links,
over a road, and through Sections Nos. 27602 and 26858,
over a road, and thence easterly through Sections Nos. 26912,
27603, and 27352 to the Dunsandel race aforesaid at the
south-east corner of the last-mentioned section.

Irvine's Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Selwyn Survey District, County of Selwyn,
commencing at the Dunsandel Race, hereinbefore described,
at the north-west side of Reserve No. 1762, and proceeding
generally north-easterly along the said reserve and the
Southern Railway Reserve to the westernmost corner of
Section No. 9476; thence through the aforesaid Section No.
9476, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 10120, 9475,
and Reserve No. 719; thence generally south-easterly
through the said Reserve No. 719 and Section No. 9475
aforesaid, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 9505, 9513,
12573, and Reserve No. 1170, over a road, and through Sec-
tion No. 10161, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 10135,
10220, 14425, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 14319,
14026, 14025, 14895, 5937, 14632, over a road, and along the
northern side of Section No. 14512 to the Selwyn Race, here-
inbefore described, in the last-mentioned section.

Butler's Race.—All that strip of land, 25 links in width,
situate in the Selwyn Survey District, County of Selwyn,
commencing at the Dunsandel Race, hereinbefore described,
in Section No. 29025, and proceeding generally north-easterly
through Sections Nos. 12595, 11235, Reserve No. 1169, Sec-
tion No. 12857, along and over a road, and thence southerly
along the north-east side of Section No. 25647 a distance
of about 2000 links; thence north-easterly over a road and
through Reserve No. 1168, and Sections Nos. 12856 and 9505
to Irvine's Race, hereinbefore described, at the north-east
side of the last-mentioned section.
