Additional Land taken at Huntly for the Purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, from Kaukapakapa to Te Awamutu, to take further land at Huntly, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-

lington, this first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section thirty-two of "The Counties Acts Amendment Act, 1883," and at the request of the Selwyn County Council, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be water-races, as defined by section thirty-one of the said Act, to be known by the name of the Haldon Water-race and the Ellesmere Water-race; and, further, that the River Hororata, in the County of Selwyn, shall be a stream which may be taken for the purpose of supplying the said water-races.

HORORATA WATER-RACE DISTRICT.

HALDON WATER-RACE.

Main Race.β€”All that strip of land, 50 links in width, situate in the Survey Districts of Hawkins and Selwyn, County of Selwyn, commencing at the northern side of the Hororata River at a point where the creek known as Derrick's Creek enters the said river, and proceeding generally southerly through Sections Nos. 33569 and 14521, across a road, and through Sections Nos. 14521 aforesaid, 29982, 23216, Reserve No. 1763, across a tramway reserve and a road, Reserve No. 1834, a piece of deferred-payment land, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 32535, 32583, Crown lands, Reserve No. 1764, over a road and a tramway reserve, Reserve No. 1765, and through Sections Nos. 32060, 32055, 32035, over a road and the Hororata Water-race, and through Sections Nos. 30751, 28857, 28858, over a road and the Hororata Water-race, and through Sections Nos. 25812, 26949, 24801, 30612, 29494, 28996, 26950, 24123, 21186, 14724, 26950 aforesaid, 14725, 26950 aforesaid, and 14726, over a road, and through Sections Nos. 18162, 14723, 18166, 14722, 18156, and 14721, across a road, and through Sections Nos. 14717 and 16652, and over a road to the western side of the Southern Railway Reserve.
