HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Wellington-Napier Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Officer appointed to grant Licenses under Section 15 of “The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me in that behalf by “The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint John Smith Hickson, Esquire, Resident Magistrate, to exercise, in terms of section fifteen of the said Act, a special authority in the granting of publicans’ licenses within the district the limits of which are defined in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Counties of Lake and Vincent bounded towards the North by Blocks I. and II., Lower Wanaka Survey District; towards the East by the Tarras Survey District; towards the South by the southern boundaries of Runs Nos. 240B and 240D to the Cardrona River; and towards the North-west by that river.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago, Southland, and Westland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods, more or less, and being Section No. 57, Block IX., Mungamuka Survey District. Bounded towards the North and North-east by a road 68, 237, 251, and 409 links, and by Section No. 53 of the aforesaid block 243 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 55 of the aforesaid block, 653 links; and towards the South-west generally by a road, 70, 157, 152, 89, 194, 112, 50, 57, 196, 178, 150, and 135 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a cemetery.
WELLINGTON.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 17 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, situate in the Township of Bunnythorpe, in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Section No. 1479, Block VII., Kairanga Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 1478, 1936 links; towards the South-east and South-west by public roads, 2066 and 1315 links respectively; and towards the North-west by Section No. 1507, 648 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. For a gravel-pit.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 44 acres 3 roods 23 perches, more or less, situate in the Township of Bunnythorpe, in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Sections Ncs. 1501, 1502, 1503, and 1504, Block VII., Kairanga Survey District. Bounded towards the North-west by Sections Nos. 1499 and 1500, 4286 links; towards the North-east by a public road, 1225 links; towards the South-east by a public road and by Section No. 1505, 4284 links; and towards the South-west by a public road, 1219 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. For a recreation-ground.
MARLBOROUGH.
All that parcel of land situate in the Survey District of Arapawa, Provincial District of Marlborough, estimated to contain 153 acres or thereabouts. Bounded towards the North by the waters of Tory Channel; towards the East by a block of land granted to one Joseph Toms in the District of Queen Charlotte Sound; towards the South by the waters of Cook Strait; and towards the West by Section No. 9 in the District of Queen Charlotte Sound: as the same is more particularly shown on the official map in the Survey Office, Blenheim. For a lighthouse and signal-station reserve.
CANTERBURY.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2728 (in red), situate in the Mount Thomas Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east by No. 2 Road, 500 links; towards the North-west by Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 34463, 1000 links; and towards the South-west by Crown lands, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. For a school site.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2729 (in red), situate in the Shepherd’s Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east by a road-line, 50 links; towards the North-west by a road-line, 600 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 33104, 800 links; and towards the South-west by Crown lands, 550 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. For a school site.
