All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 2731 (in red), being an island known as Pah Island, lying between Okain’s Bay and Duck’s Foot Bay, Banks Peninsula; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. For a lighthouse.
OTAGO.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, situate in the Town of Clyde, and now numbered Block LIV. of the said town. Bounded towards the North-west by Crown lands, 350 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 2276 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 47 of Block I., Leaning Rock District, 410 links; and towards the South-west by Crown lands, 2300 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for hospital purposes.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 15 acres, more or less, situate in the Town of Clyde, and now numbered Block LV. on the map of the said town. Bounded towards the North-west by Crown lands, 750 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 2800 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 47 of Block I., Leaning Rock District, 600 links, also by Block LIV. of the said town 350 links; and towards the South-west by the said Block LIV. 2276 links, also by Crown lands 580 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for hospital purposes.
SOUTHLAND.
All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 131 acres and 17 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 10 and 11, Block XXI., Invercargill Hundred. Bounded on the North by Section No. 6 of the said block, 1900 links; on the East by Section No. 7 of the said block, 1368 links; again on the North by the said Section No. 7, 1914 links; again on the East by Sections Nos. 8 and 9 of the said block, 2756 links; on the South by a Government road-line, 3814 links; and on the West by Sections Nos. 15 and 16 of the said block, 4124 links. For an endowment for primary education.
WESTLAND.
All that parcel of land in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 731, Block X., on the map of the Bruce Bay Survey District. Bounded towards the East by Native Reserve No. 5, and of a width of 5 chains and depth of 20 chains, and having frontage to the road along the sea-beach. For the use and support of the aboriginal natives of the colony.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the two hundred and twenty-eighth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said two hundred and twenty-seventh section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the several warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the Gazette specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
