I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the North Venus Quartz-mining Company (Limited) as a Limited Company, under the provisions of "The Mining Companies Act, 1886."

  1. The name of the company is to be the North Venus Quartz-mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of intended operations is at Murray Creek, County of Inangahua, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at Bridge Street, Reefton, in the county and colony aforesaid.

  4. The nominal capital of the company is twenty-four thousand pounds, in twenty-four thousand shares of one pound each, ten shillings per share being considered as paid up.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-four thousand, being not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares in the company.

  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.

  7. The amount already paid up is nil.

  8. The name of the Manager is Thomas Hubert Lee.

THE PREMIER GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

I, the undersigned Manager, hereby give notice that an increase in the capital of the above-named company was, on the 28th day of October, 1886, resolved on.

The mode adopted for the increase is by issuing 3,000 new shares of ten shillings each, in addition to the 12,000 shares now existing in the company.

The said 3,000 new shares are issued upon the terms that the holders of such shares shall receive dividends out of the profits of the company £25 per centum above the dividends payable in respect of the original 12,000 shares.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for irrigation and domestic purposes, commencing at a point at Laurel Creek in Section 6, Block XIV., Benger District, about 14 chains above the main road, and terminating at Section 15 of the same block.

The length of such race is half a mile or thereabouts; its intended course is south-east, being partly constructed, and one month is required for its completion. The mean depth of such race is 1ft., and the mean breadth is 1ft. 6in., and it is proposed to divert one Government-head of water.

Dated at Roxburgh, the 18th day of October, 1886.
