Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that A. F. DE VEAUX, of Christchurch, in the Colony of New Zealand, Patent Agent, has applied, on behalf of JOHN HICKMAN, of Christchurch aforesaid, Cabinetmaker, to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz.:—
Description of Trade Mark.
A label; in the upper part are the words “Hickman’s Eclipse Hair Producer, registered;” below is a representation of the sun, in which is pictured a face partially eclipsed by a black circle towards the bottom on the left side, containing the words “It Eclipses all others,” the design being to represent an eclipse (partial); and on each side are the words “price 4/-.” Below this are the words “A New Discovery for the growth of Hair on the head and face, for removing and preventing Dandruff, and arresting the fall of the Hair. It cures any disease of the scalp, and causes new growth on the head after being bald for years,” and on the bottom of the label the words “None genuine without the Trade Mark and signature, John Hickman.”
Nature of the Article to which it is intended such Trade Mark shall apply.
A liquid mixture for the production of hair.

NOTICE is hereby given that Messrs. WOODS, SINCLAIR, AND COMPANY, of Christchurch, in the Colony of New Zealand, have applied to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade marks of which the following is a description, viz.:—
Description of Trade Mark No. 1.
A brand, consisting of the letters “W. S. & Co. Ch.Ch.” enclosed within a heart. The word “Pale” occurs on the lower left side of the heart, and the word “Malt” occupies a similar position on the right side. The letters “N.Z.” are placed underneath the heart. Such brand may be printed in rose colour or any shade thereof, or in magenta or mauve.
