A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zealand, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such land, and application has been made for the removal of such restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excellency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the alienation of the said land.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the County of Piako, containing by admeasurement 45 acres 1 rood 27 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 15, Block IX., Te Aroha Survey District. Bounded towards the North-west by a line, being the production in a north-easterly direction of the north-western boundary of Section No. 16 of the said Block IX., 2300 links; towards the North-east by a line bearing east 51° 15' south, 2271 links; towards the South-east by the production of the northern side of Wilson Street, and by that street, 3841 links; again towards the North-west and towards the South-west by the said Section No. 16, 1358 links and 1100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Land in Town of Wyndham, not required for Public Use, authorized to be sold.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of October, 1886.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” it is enacted that, if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under that Act or any other Act or provincial ordinance, or otherwise however, for public works, is not required for public use, the Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein set forth:
And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before the Governor the memorial referred to in the section aforesaid, praying the Governor, by an Order in Council, to cause such land to be sold:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities aforesaid, do hereby order and authorize the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be sold and dealt with in the manner and subject to the conditions of the fourteenth and following sections of the above in part recited Act.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and “The Public Works Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1885” (No. 2), and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the taking of certain lands, mentioned in the Schedule below, for the purpose of a public road in Block IX., Reefton Survey District, the said lands, or some of them, being alleged by the owner or occupier thereof to be or to include or comprise a garden or gardens and an orchard or orchards.
