powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that, on and after the date hereof, the roads described in the Schedule hereunder written shall become county roads.
SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the main road between Napier and Wellington, via Tahoraite, Woodville, Eketahuna, and Masterton (hereinafter called “the said road”), which lies within, passes through, or abuts upon the County of Wairarapa North.

All that portion of the said road which lies within, passes through, or abuts upon the County of Waipawa.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of October, 1886.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council issued on the sixteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, in pursuance of the twelfth section of “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” delegating the powers conferred by the said Act to the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Westport, as the Westport Domain Board, in respect to the Westport Recreation-ground, it was directed that the first meeting of the Board should be held on Wednesday, the second day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, at the Borough Council Offices, at Westport, at the hour of two o’clock p.m.:
And whereas no meeting of the Board has been held as directed by the Order in Council aforesaid:
And whereas it is expedient to fix a time and place for the meetings of the Westport Domain Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth by this present order amend the first clause of the Order in Council issued on the sixteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five aforesaid, and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby order and direct that the first meeting of the Westport Domain Board shall be held at the Borough Council Offices, at Westport, on Thursday, the fourteenth day of October next, at the hour of three o’clock p.m.; and that subsequent meetings shall be held at such other time and place as may from time to time be fixed by the Domain Board.

Terms and Conditions of Sale of the Barkly Village Settlement, Southland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and sixty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council may fix the terms and conditions upon which the lands comprised in any village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand has, by Proclamation, set apart the lands enumerated in the Schedules hereto for sale as a village settlement:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby fix the following terms and conditions upon which the said village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same, that is to say,–

The lands enumerated in the Schedules hereto shall be disposed of as small-farm allotments for cash and upon deferred payments.

The day upon which the lands shall be open for application shall be Wednesday, the tenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, at the Land Office, Invercargill.

The lands enumerated in the First Schedule hereto shall be sold for cash immediately on purchase, and the lands enumerated in the Second Schedule hereto shall be sold on deferred payments.

The lands which are disposed of by sale upon deferred payments shall be subject to the provisions relating to suburban lands of Part III. of “The Land Act, 1885.”

No person shall be allowed to acquire more than one section upon either immediate or deferred payments.

The prices stated in the Schedules hereto shall be the prices at which the lands shall be open for application.

If there should be more than one application for any allotment, the right to occupy the same shall be determined by lot amongst the applicants.

Each applicant for a deferred-payment section in the Second Schedule will be required to make the declaration prescribed by section one hundred and thirteen of “The Land Act, 1885,” and shall at the time of application deposit with the Receiver of Land Revenue for the Southland Land District one-tenth of the price of the allotment. Such payment shall be deemed to be a discharge of the license-fee for the six months due on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

The purchaser of any lands described in the First Schedule, upon the full payment of the purchase-money, and the purchaser of any lands described in the Second Schedule, upon the like payment, and also the fulfilment of the terms and conditions prescribed by “The Land Act, 1885,” relating to land on deferred payments, will be entitled to his Crown grant, to be issued in the usual way upon payment of the fees prescribed by law.
