Land set apart for a Village Homestead Special Settlement for Perpetual Leasing in the Canterbury Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the sections of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for application as village homestead special settlements for perpetual leasing upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Setting apart Land in the Otago Land District for Leasing as a Small Grazing Run under “The Land Act, 1885.”

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and ninety-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land specified in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and ninety-eight to two hundred and nineteen of Part VII. of “The Land Act, 1885,” relating to small grazing runs.

Revoking the Setting-apart of land in Otago for Agricultural Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the fifty-fourth section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor to cause Crown lands situate within a goldfield to be selected and set apart for the purpose of granting agricultural leases thereon and therefor, or for alienation by occupation licenses on deferred payments under any law for the time being in force in the land district in which such mining district is situate:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by Proclamation dated the eighteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, set apart for agricultural lease:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke the said Proclamation in so far as it relates to the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation of the eighteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, in so far as it relates to the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-sixth section of the “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for sale as a village settlement, upon such terms and conditions as are to be set forth in an Order in Council to be made under the one hundred and sixty-seventh section of the said Act.
