Changing the Purpose of Reserves in Nelson and Canterbury.

WHEREAS the provisions and the requirements of the seventh section of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," have been duly complied with in respect of the lands described in the first column of the Schedule hereto: And whereas notices in the Gazette have been duly published for four consecutive weeks, and laid before both Houses of the Assembly, as provided by the ninth section of the said Act: And whereas no resolution of either House of Assembly has been passed that such House does not concur in the intention declared in any such notices:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fifth section of the Act aforesaid, do hereby define the change of purpose of the lands described in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be that named in the second column of the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
Description and Purpose of Reserve.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, in the Borough of Westport, being part of a public reserve, and situate at the corner of Palmerston and Lyndhurst Streets, having a frontage of 100 links to Palmerston Street and 250 links to Lyndhurst Street. Sections Nos. 25 and 26, Town of Timaru, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 13 perches, more or less. Reserved as a site for public buildings.
Purpose.
Site for a public reading-room and library.
For railway purposes.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventh day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Vaccination Districts constituted.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Governor by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination district known as the Mercury Bay District; and do declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two vaccination districts, the names whereof shall be the Mercury Bay and Tairua Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of "The Marriage Act, 1880."
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

KAMO.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing 3 acres, more or less, being part of a block of land granted by Crown grant as No. 2687B, and known by the name of Ketenikau. Bounded on the North by a line 500 links, by other part of the said block; on the East by another line 600 links, by other Native land; on the South by a line 500 links, by other part of the said block; and on the West by a line 600 links, by other Native land. Together with all that piece of land leading from the Ruatangata Road to the said first-mentioned land, containing 1 acre and 9 perches, more or less, and being 33 links in width and 1875 and 1330 links in length.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

DANEVIRKE.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 35-6 perches, more or less, being Section No. 24 of Block X. of the Village of Danevirke. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 13 of Block III., Tahoraite Survey District, 513-8 links; towards the East by Section No. 27 of Block III., Tahoraite District, 335-5 links; towards the South by Alexandra Street, 500 links; and towards the West by Dagmar Street, 453-6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
